In 1948, the Arab refugees were encouraged to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews. Most of them left in fear of being killed by their own Arab brothers as traitors.
Some 850,000 Jewish refugees were forced to flee from Arab countries, due to Arab brutality, persecution and pogroms.
The number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 is claimed to be around 630,000 (where did they get this number?). Based on population census, estimated number of Arabs who left Israel was around 460,000. They were ordered to leave by Arab leaders at the time.
From 1948 till 1967 Arabs made no attempt to create a Palestinian state. Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated, 58 synagogues in Jerusalem were destroyed and the Jews and Christians were denied access to places of worship. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to people of all faiths.
Arabs began identifying themselves as part of a Palestinian people in 1964 only, on the initiative of Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat. The idea became popular Arab propaganda tool after Israel re-captured Judea, Samaria and Gaza in the defensive 6-Day War of 1967,
Israel must survive, and the only way to reach peace is by an overwhelming defeat of the Arabs who are trying to drive Israel into the sea. Otherwise they will not give up their efforts to drive the Jews into the sea.

The Deir Yassin Massacre was heavily exploited by Arabic-language propaganda broadcasts of the Haganah to frighten the Palestinians into leaving,in which undertaking they were assisted with free rides to the various borders, usually Lebanon,Syria and Jordan. Under international law however civilians who flee a combat zone - such as the Belgians in 1944 - are entitled to return to their homes at the conclusion of hostilities. This the newly-formed Israeli government refused to do, resulting in permanent displacement and a network of huge refugee camps maintained by the UNRWA. They also refused to compensate the DPs (Displaced Persons) for their property. The refugee situation was a very hot point of controversy throughout the 1950's. Sen. John Kennedy was a vigorous supporter of their right to return or receive adequate compensation. He visited the DP camps in Jordan and Lebanon on numerous occasions but he was never able to secure passage of a bill endorsing their right of return. President Eisenhower - whose Allied forces directly supervised both the evacuation and eventual return of the Belgians in 1944-45 - reacted to the unresolved DP situation with such disgust that he ended up almost severing diplomatic ties between the U.S. and the merry little Land o' Zion. The DP situation - once dubbed a "crisis" by the international media - has now become a permanent fixture of the Levant and the UNRWA camps are - understandably - a thriving zone of recruitment for Palestinian militants. Which the Zionists use as an excuse to regularly bomb into extinction various refugee camps, most notoriously the camp at Quana in Lebanon on April 14,1996. More than 160 civilians were slaughtered in their beds by a midnight air assault that shocked the entire planet, except for the U.S. where the "incident" was the object of a near-total media blackout. I hope this is plain enough for you; if you imagine this narrative consists of distortions or falsehoods I suggest you consult the New York Times Index for the years 1948-1968. |

A lot just left everything and fled because most weren't allowed to take anything with them out of Palestine.
The Jews find better ways to kick out Palestinians, they make them leave "willingly", by killing them, imprisoning them, enslaving them, stoning them, torturing them, discriminating against them, oppressing them.. And the list goes on and on.
I was 10 when me and my family fled Israel. They thought I had bombs, they stripped me naked, I was from a modest Christian family and it wasn't really fun for me...
My family now are in Gaza under a siege, barely any food and no electricity or medicine. We don't even know if they are DEAD or ALIVE!
By the way, Palestinians were stripped out of their houses, property, and money.. And were kicked out of Palestine and sent to neighboring Middle Eastern countries as refugees.
4 000 000 Palestinians today, live in refugee camps under constant fear and bombardment by the so called "Israeli" military. |

Bella A,
I know that you have good intentions by asking this question in the Israel / Palestine Section, but you are not going to get a credible answers here, cause each one is giving his version and his point of views, specially when they write news papers specially like Dandyl and Samsoum.
Go on the internet and do your research, you will find the REAL truth.

although there are some facts that proves the kick out actions
and for those who stayed they were in a semi prison , they were released only in the year 1967 after the war
you can easily check how they were treated ,what schools they had. how they moved from one village to another.what was the content of their studies back in school
THERE ARE OVER 1.5 MILLION IRAQI IN JORDAN ONLY

watch all war zones see refuging
I do not blame Palestinians to escape war zones,We are not talking here about Palestinian army who fled war,its families civillians women kids olds and so
one has to remember in 1948 alone 200 massacres were commited
you can check what happened in Kufr qasem by 1956
500 villages were demolished
till now there are refugees in side the green line who are not able to go homes which are 5 kilometers far from them
beit nequba for instance
Emwas if you just put on you tube CANADA PARK you will see some of the forced to leave |

The Palestinians that were not killed during the forced occupation fled in fear of their lives as terrorist gangs tore through villages killing everyone in their path. Many still await their return to the homes of their ancestors. Hence, the large number of Palestinian refugees. "Jews" did not orchestrate this violent occupation of Palestinian land, Zionists did. Zionists are not true Torah believeing or following Jews. |

"The region was established in 1934. It was the result of Joseph Stalin's nationality policy, which allowed for the Jewish population of the Soviet Union to receive a territory in which to pursue Yiddish cultural heritage within a socialist framework"

"Stalin wanted to put all jews in a small piece of land and that is called democracy? Yeah right....."
No he wanted to give them land. And yes it was democracy compared what happend to karelians and other people in the Soviet Union when Stalin was the leader. By the way same time jew Lazar Kaganovich created the Holodomor.
"Israeli troops never 'kicked out' arabs"
Oh yes they did during the war in 1948. Why are there 5 million palestinian refugees? Tell us that? |

Approximately 300,000 Arabs, encouraged by their leaders to leave, fled from what is now Israel between April and December, 1948.
The Arab leaders promised them that they would soon be able to return following Israel's destruction. In some cases the Jews, including Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, urged the Arabs to remain, promising that they would not be harmed.
Those who remained became full and equal citizens of Israel, while those who chose to leave went to neighboring Arab states. Instead of welcoming their Arab brothers, and integrating them into the mainstream of their societies, the Arab states kept them in squalid refugee camps and used these Palestinians refugees as political pawns in their fight against Israel. |

THE TRUTH IS HOLY
|
Arieh is correct. No Arab was removed by force in 1948 (not that I am stating that such an act would have been wrong). The Arab Armies intended on killing every human being they found in The Holy Land. In order to not kill their Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese and Jordanian brethren (there were nearly zero Arabs in Israel who were not actually Jordanian, Egyptian, etc.), the Arabs told all Arabs staying in The Holy Land to leave until after the war. When David defeated Goliath (Israel defeated the Arabs), many Arabs ran TO Israel as opposed to AWAY from Israel because they wanted to stick with a winner, not a loser. |
|

Arieh
 |
During the War of Independence in 1948 David Ben-Gurion (PM) begged the Arabs to stay, the Arabs got on the radio and told them to leave because when they came to kill all the Jews, they didn't want to kill them by mistake, so they left. Israel won the war and didn't let the Arabs return. That is one truth anyway. |

Many of them left of their own accord in the hope of avoiding the imminent ensuing war, while those who stayed stayed. |

Bob Joke.....Stalin wanted to put all jews in a small piece of land and that is called democracy? Yeah right.....
I would say some left and some kicked out. Some left because of the idea of war. Some left indirectly because haganah closed supplies off to arabs. Some left because arabs told me to do so. MANY LEFT due to Deir yassin because they were scared. Many argue about Deir Yassin. Many years back arabs persecuted and killed many Jews and haganah was weak at the time. Years later, they were stronger and retaliated. They were pretty brutal or maybe it was more a rumor who knows. THE truth is.....MANY STAYED. Israeli troops never 'kicked out' arabs, it did so indirectly, but usually never with force, it was economical.
Israel forced out through economic and political means around 300,000 arabs......470,000 fleed........now the number of palestinian arab refugees is close to 10 million. Can you explain that. 10 million refers to the total diaspora.
Actually it is not democracy. he always wanted to deport crimean tatars to a piece of land in the east as well. Basically, who ever was not russian (or georgian) he did not want near the Russians. Even still Oblast is only 1.22 percent Jewish. He wasn't very successful. Some Jews actually were all for it because they would get away from persecution. But it is a micro-exile (I am at a loss for terms).
Holodomor was 'conspired' by approximately 13 appointed man. The strategy was all done by Stalin. He appointed men by ethnic heritage so it would look like 'others' did it. Why would would the 10 out of 13 men be Jewish and Ukranian. Now you blame the Jews. In this case, Stalin succeeded. I am sure he killed many Jews and Ukrainians who did not want to listen to him. Holodomor was an undeniable holocaust of nearly 60 million people. It was overlooked because Ukrainians didn't really have a history of weird hate and persecutions, since ukranians are basically russians (original russians actually). Karelia is a different unfortunate story. Stalin was a dictator and he wasn't Jewish, although appoint Jews as his henchmen was a smart tactic. It has been used for centuries. It is the key and stronghold for scapegoats. |
