JERUSALEM – The Christian world and top U.S. Christian leaders are being urged to petition the Israeli government to immediately halt a massive dig Islamic authorities are conducting on the Temple Mount – Judaism's holiest site – that is said to be destroying antiquities and what archaeologists believe is a wall from the Second Jewish Temple.

The Israeli government has barred archaeologists from inspecting the Temple-era wall, believed to be from the outer courtyard of the Second Temple.

The wall reportedly has been pulverized by bulldozers operated by the Waqf, the Mount's Muslim custodians.

If verified, the wall would be the most significant Jewish Temple find in history.

"The Christian people must rise up and stand with their brethren in Israel and make their voices heard to stop this travesty," states an open letter from Israel's Temple Institute, an organization seeking to promote awareness of the Temple Mount. "We are asking Christians to do everything possible to petition the Israeli government to halt the Waqf destruction and have archaeologists immediately inspect the area."

The Temple Institute is asking concerned Christians to contact Olmert's office.

"As a result of destructive and wanton bulldozing by the Waqf – with Israeli permission – a section of the wall of the Holy Temple in the area universally recognized as the location of the Women's Court has been unearthed," the letter states. "This is the first time since the destruction of the Second Temple that actual physical evidence of the Temple has been revealed. But all of the antiquities of the Temple that have been uncovered are in danger of being destroyed if you don't help."

If you bothered to actually check your facts you would see that archaeologists have found many artifacts from the temple and that period. They have found a corner stone with the writing: לבית התקיעה לה... it is assumed to have been used for the Levites to blow their horns on fridays signaling the oming of the Sabbath.
A tablet in greek has been found sayign that people of all nations are welcome to the house of God (it is now on display in Turkey).
There are many coins from the time of temple, commercial roads have been exposed near the Western Wall. Seals reading the names of people who appeared in the Bible have been found in the City of David, the ruins of the ancient Jerusalem. The water works built by KinJeremiahia has been discovered with a tablet proving this.
There are many other artifacts that have been found.
The Muslims arsystematicallyly destroying any proof of Jewisexistencece on the Temple Mount. Manvolunteersrs are now sifting through the rubble in order to find valuable artifacts before they are gone for ever.
It is surprising how much actually has survived from the Temple, which was destroyed close to 2,000 years ago.
It is easy to ask a question based on an assertion that is simply untrue.

The reason why they have not been able to find a single trace of the Temple is due to Bible prophecy.
Read in the Bible. Mathew Chap 28 vs 37-39
which paraphrased says
Jesus said "Jerusalem Jerusalem The the killer of the prophets and the stoners of those sent forth to her-- How often I wanted to gather you together as a Hen gathers her chickens but you people would not have that. Look: Your House is abandoned to you. You will by no means see me until you say blessed is He who comes in God's name.

Later on in Mathew chapter 24 vs 1,2 it states:
Departing now Jesus was on his way from the Temple, but his disciples approached him to show him the buildings of the Temple. In response he said to them: Do not you behold all these things? Truly I say to you, By no means will a stone be left upon a stone and not be thrown down.

So here we have a prophecy written and about 40 years after the prophecy was spoken the Romans destroyed the Temple when they attacked Jerusalem.

That is one reason to explain why there is no remains of the Temple to be found. God was showing his displeasure because his Son was rejected by the very people that the Messiah was sent to.

If you go to the Temple Mount, you will see the Western Wall. Only a small portion of the actual wall is visible, but there are tunnels that you can go through that follow the entire length of the wall. If you take the tour of the tunnels, a number of artifacts will be pointed out along the way.

the israeli's efforts to dig are all worth it and i have even taken a tour to see it, it is magnificent.In front of the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, an incredible labyrinth of tunnels, arches, and passageways remained untouched for centuries. At last, revealed through extensive archaeological excavations during the last few decades and culminating in the explosive opened in 1996

To be exact, the Israelis found more evidence the Temple existed than you can procure about the Dome of the Rock existing.

We, Jews are famous in doing or "suggesting" unbelievable things.
Maybe the Arabs are right for once.
NOTE: I don't like to visit often here,because of those hateful and poisonous answers my ex-fellow Jews give.
