Every American president since Eisenhower has essentially been elected by the mass media. People inevitably base their conclusions and decisions on the information and opinion to which they are exposed. Jewish domination of the media creates a situation where it is virtually inconceivable that any candidate who isn't rabidly pro-zionist could be considered viable by either major party. If they aren't they will receive nothing but negative publicity. Thus our system is subverted by wholesale abuse of one of our proudest traditions, namely freedom of the press. No other ethnic group has ever been known to consciously seek to develop an ethnic-based monopoly of the media. Given our laws it is impossible to address the situation in any effective way. We have no prior instances to guide us. Norwegian-Americans for example have never targeted the media for ethnic domination in terms of ownership,so we have no precedent to fall back upon in addressing the situation. Hence it continues, decade after decade, rendering our political process completely meaningless in terms of Mideast policy. We have lost control of our government in this regard and in many other respects as well. Hence there is no basis for personal guilt, only extreme frustration. And that we feel - keenly,I assure you. |

it is interesting that a superpower like the US fights this badly for a 3rd world country like Israel . actually when you deal with Arab countries you see how civilized these people are after illiteracy became less than 1% in these countries . a good example into how the US policy became totally wrecked is when Mr Bush refused to shake hands with Mr Arafat all his service term calling him a terrorist , from the other side he will receive Mr Sharon in the oval office many times and always talked of how a man of peace Sharon is . by the way Mr Arafat was a Nobel Prize winner for peace while Mr Sharon was a recognized war criminal for his role in Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Lebanon. |

Hamas and Fatah would still be terrorists with or without America's president in existence. |

Don't you think it was clever of us to get Hamas and Fatah to fight each other? |

Yes it abosoutley positivley does hurt me. And I can tell that this is what you wanted to hear.See these are the problems i have with these type of questions. People ask for you opinions but theres always one answer they want to hear so thats the answetr they choose for the best answer. These type of questions should not have a right or wrong answer, so when i ask these questions i don't choose a best answer. And neither should you. But what i said is true I am very ashamed of my president. And hope that Obama or Clinton are better. |

I read the ENTIRE 6 pages of the article and it was very interesting, but look, the US government has been doing this kind of thing for decades. It's not something specific to Bush. And frankly, I don't think he really made the decision to help Fatah himself. He doesn't strike me as the brightest bulb in the box, and probably just shook his head like a nice puppet when those with the real power presented the options- if it even got that far.
But anyway, the more important issue is that, while the US may have helped the situation develop by providing some logistical, political, and hardware support to Fatah, it was the people WITHIN THE RESPECTIVE GROUPS, namely, the members of Fatah and Hamas, that CHOSE to fight each other. Stop blaming others and realize that you guys have some serious issues to deal with on how to run a civil society. |

Almost all of the troubles in the Mideast have been U.S. -stimulated since at least 1946. It is not something that began with this president; all but Eisenhower have been Zionists and even Kennedy in his efforts to prevent the zionist government from getting the A-bomb nearly broke off relations. It is a question of jewish influence, and also religious - as long as Christians continue to employ the Tanahk as part of their scripture, they will regard jews as chosen, etc. Bluntly put we need a new and powerful party, ideally Democratic Socialist. As to our government's history in the region over the last 65 years it is itself a point of deep shame,a veritable holocaust costing the lives of 5 million Muslims since 1980 alone.
Christianity also needs to dump the Old testament, since it merely creates confusion and gives rise to evil; it is superceded by the New Covenant so at the least it's a complete irrelevancy. |

Why do you care if Americans feel shame or not? You really that into other peoples business? |

hamas and fatah fighting does not bother me in the least. thanks for asking. |

Take responsibility for your own actions.
Nobody made Hamas and Fatah fight. They did so out of their own greed for power.
Bush is an idiot, but at the end of the day only you are responsible for what you do. |

John

No because it is not my problem. What is Hamas and Fatah? And who really cares?
You're not going to fly a plane into my building now are you? |

Your premise is absolutely wrong. Hamas and Fatah and Hezbollah will fight no matter who is in power in the USA because fighting is in their blood. Look back into history of the middle east and you will see that the Arabs have been killing each other for centuries. They love to fight over anything and everything. This is the main reason that Mohammad wrote the Jihad section of the Koran after the Koran had been completed. It is full of fighting, rewards for killing, conversion even if it means fighting, etc. America didn't make the Arabs go to war with Israel (or with themselves). They love it and will probably never stop fighting even if it means slaughtering themselves. |

No. I am proud of President Bush for trying to stop the terrorists. Someone has to. You should be proud that he is the first US President to support a permanent Palestinian State. You would know that if you didn't listen to only liberal, biased or islamic propaganda. You should be ashamed of Hamas, Hezbollah, al Qaeda and all other islamic terror groups, but you probably love and support them. |

i'm ashamed of the current administration but the civil war in gaza is nobody's fault and responsibility but the gazans. the palestinians not only commit terror against israel, they fight and torture and kidnap and kill each other. barbaric. about 1000 years behind the rest of us. |

No. I'm sick of the World blaming the US and UK for their problems. Islamic tribes in the middle eastern region have fought each other for years. Now Sunnis and Shias fight each other.
The fact is that none of this is the fault of the US.
Are you ashamed of terrorist activities carried out in the name of islam, or are you one of the people cheering on the streets when innocent lives are lost?
Do you believe in free speech, or are you one of the muslims who condemned a Danish cartoonist for drawing an unflattering image of Mohammad?
While I think Bush is an idiot, I'm not ashamed of him. |

No...So what if no WMD were found in the Middle East...its better safe than sorry!!! If there is a threat to your child....youre not going to care what in the world you do to who or what, youre going to defend and try to abolish any threat! Also...since we've sent troops over there...I havent seen 1 attack on American soil!! So Americans...stop being idiots, stop being babies! If youre not doing anything wrong, then you shouldnt be afraid of telephone tapping!!! Get a life, realize that the threat is in the east!! Your President is only guide...you have the power to bring him down...yet you dont, even though you hate him so much?? Whats the deal?? Do you or do you not?? God bless America and the President! |
