I'm not so worried. I live in a pretty Jewish neighborhood, attend private Jewish school......Yes, things are getting rough. But I believe in Hashem.

But yes, I want to make Aliyah. I am going to Israel in the summer for 6 weeks. Awesome!

Nothing has happened since 9/11 the incidents are all happening in Europe and dictator countries like Venezuela who regularly demonizes Jews on their airwaves. It's like in WW2 when America was apart from the antisemitism that was so widely experienced in Europe. It is harder for things like that to reach our shores.

European Jewry is very much in danger though I am quite worried about them. I think everyone is busy now trying to save Europe though and not ready to give up that ship.

I am in Southern Bible Belt and it's fine here really it is. We've got flags flying in neighborhoods and lots of support. If you are getting urge to leave America by all means explore that further, as perhaps you have a special purpose you cannot pass up. Maybe it's a personal message of some sorts. You just need to explore it further and see what's up :)

Yep,perhaps not another Shoa but feel things will become bad here.Worse than usual. Synagouges in Chicago have been vandalized,no doubt other places as well.

Jews are blamed for the economy,Israels defensive war in Gaza,deicide ect. Everything tho' not true..Would love making aliyah unfortunately unable to right now :-( At home am armed,when out carry Sabra mace & times nearly had to use it..If any radical Muslims,anti-semites come for me I'll take them down first!!

I'm a British Jew and I feel the EXACT same way.

There is currently a lot of physical violence towards us.

The British government banned Geert Wilders - and are NOW letting into the UK a senior Hezbollah guy who is a known anti semite and who puts out the most hateful anti Jewish programmes on Islamic TV.

I already bought an AK-47 and lots of ammo in case that fervent anti-semitism in Europe starts spreading to the U.S. It has not spread to were I live yet but seems to be growing more in the bigger cities and I do notice it starting to happen a little bit in my city especially on college campuses.

Our system of government won't allow for a demagogue or other cult of personality to manipulate our freedoms to such an extent that the Jews will not be protected.

There will always be people that dislike (or hate) you for the group you belong to. Sure, there might be ignorant people out there, but as has already been said, even if you disagree with Israel's actions it's wrong to blame all Jewish people for what Israel does. And Americans of all creeds are on all sides of the Israel argument (and I insist that there are more than 2 sides). You should consider that even when Bush was president people were still outraged at racism against Arabic people (myself included). A bigger danger might be Israel finding herself in a situation where all international support is gone. She's basically only got the US. So whether you'd be better off leaving or staying is arguable. Just because Israel considers all Jews a member of Israel doesn't mean all Jews consider themselves supporters of everything Israel does.

People in modern Western societies have come view racism as particularly repugnant. I don't think anything will happen on the scale of the terrible atrocities committed against Jewish people in the past. My intuition tells me that most people are deeply offended by these types of prejudices (myself included). But if you feel you would be safer in Israel, go ahead and move there. I cannot make the decision for you (and perhaps my opinion is worthless to you because I'm a gentile), but if you do move you will get to learn more about your own culture and other aspects of your background, so that's a plus. But I can tell you this: I certainly do not dislike all Jewish people more because of Israel, I only disapprove of what (some) Israelis are doing. Even where people are personally responsible for criminal actions (which they know are wrong), I don't dislike them more in general, because people make mistakes and if they are truly repentant and show it in their actions then I will still like them. I also think the intent matters (the difference between 1st and 3rd degree murder, say)... and most Israelis, I'll wager, believe they are doing the right thing. So for what it's worth, those are my candid thoughts on the matter.

If moving is all about safety, then apparently the most economical and hassle-free option is the South. Haha, never would have thought it.

Unlike Europeans and Middle Easterners who imbibe anti-Semitism in their mothers milk, Americans, Canadians and Australians do not. Thankfully there are safe pleces in the world. Do not sell America short.

well i'm canadian and hope to in the near future make aliyah. But for now I'm not worried!! If anything the muslims should be worried that slowly more people are realizing what their religion is all about.. . .

I doubt anything physical. it will be more a silent revolution where Americans just won't have any dealings with the jew. Because will wonder where jews loyalty lies and if they can be trusted.

I seriously doubt that. Israel has America firmly in their pocket, and the Jewish lobby is one of the strongest in America, do you really think they would allow that? I am pretty sure your safe there, Europe on the Other hand doesn't kow tow, and are not controlled by Jewish money, so I don't think they put up with much in the way of injustice being meted out to the Palestinians, and because of that there has been some ugly behaviour towards Jews in Europe. Personally I think that is a shame, I place the blame for this solely on the Zionists stirring up trouble in Israel.
