I notice Tabasco Sauce has dropped in price the last few months, I have no idea why, but that suits my bottle a week addiction perfectly even though just about everything else has doubled in price over the last 12 months.

No Inno nothing is cheap anymore (but for Bull's Tabasco sauce) I don't know what is going on everytime I go and shop things just got more expensive during the few days I wasnt shopping, I used to pay R 12, 99 for 50 paper plates, bought some over the weekend and now they are R 17 for 50?

There'll be lots of bargains once Chinese manufactured stuff is imported en masse. Cheap-cheap, snazzy labels n all. But needs to be replaced after a few months when it starts falling apart. Looks impressive before falling apart, though...almost like the RDP houses.

nothing - but I can tell what has gone up in the last month - we buy milk formula (S3) - used to be R79.99 at Pick n'Pay on my last shopping trip - now it is a shocking R120!!!!! I nearly fell into my trolley when I saw the price.

You can still buy chips and a coke for less than R10 - when you can't do that anymore then there really is no hope.

Lol Honey I agree with MJ the prices here on the UK keeps going up every week,I now pay Â£1-85 for four tooilet rolls,the bread is over Â£1-19,and here it's to expensive to smoke as well.xxxx

Childrens ID books are cheap (When you eventually get them) - we used to have those grey books (when you were under 16 years old I think), now when I registered my son - we just got a piece of paper that has to be his ID until he is 16. WTF? They obviously want their citizens to go postal and perform mass murders in government places when they get enraged by the cr@ppy service they get from their government departments each 4 months when they have to get a new ID document piece of cr@ppy paper for their kids.
Anyways - I got it laminated - hopefully that'll work.

Woolworths suddenly has a cheaper range of childrens clothes, apparently its to compete with places like Ackermans who always have cheap clothes. Anyway its good to know you can get Woolworths quality clothes at a lower price (tshirts were R29 in Jan, Tracksuit pants are R29 now)

Other things that are still cheaper/free:
-sunshine (get you daily dose of vitamin D)
-coffee at work ;)
-getting your windscreen washed when you fill up with petrol
-all those plants that are flowering in your garden, that you had forgotten about/not cared for for 6 months

Inno, don't worry- we are all in the same boat. Here in the UK the price rises are staggering, I used to buy fresh mint at Â£1 a couple of weeks ago, now it is Â£1,20- over R14!!! A packet of cigarretes (20) is about between Â£5.60 and Â£6.60 in London. Gas prices have doubled in a year and petrol is phenomenally expensive. Welcome to the Weimar 21st Century!!!
