Are there Jews living in Palestina?

I read there are Muslim Israeli's, so I was wondering if Jews are allowed to live in the area that is considered Palestina?
Additional Details
I am confused now. If the Samarian Jews are for Palestina and against Israel, why is the Palestinian authority against them and why are these Jews against Israel?

First off, I'd like to point out that it's not called "Palestina" in English. The region within which Israel was founded (as was Jordan), was originally the Land of Canaan, later the Land of Israel, and most recently known as Palestine. "Palestina" is actually what the Romans called it. See, the Romans conquered Judea, and re-named it Palestina to disassociate the land from the Jews who called it home. In fact, their choice of name was particularly spiteful, because they renamed it for a people who lived in an area along the Mediterranean coast, and who were enemies of the Jews - the Philistines. Interestingly enough, the Philistines weren't a semitic people at all (ergo no actual connection to the Arab "Palestinians" of today). Even more interestingly, the linguistic root for the term Philistine means "invader". So the group living in the historic land of Israel that claims to be a native population besieged by Israelite invaders have actually adopted a name for themselves meaning "invaders". Make of that what you will.

Also, just as an aside, though the Samarians consider themselves Israelites, they branched off from Judaism a long time ago, and aren't really considered Jews. So I wouldn't use them as an example for anything.

Now, outside of the settlements in the disputed territories (known alternatively as the West Bank & Gaza Strip and as Gaza, Judea, and Samaria), in areas under Palestinian rule, Jews are not allowed to live - and even if they were, to live in such a place, well, suffice it to say that you wouldn't live very long.

That's one of the things I've never understood - everyone accuses Zionists of racism for wanting a state for the Jewish people (a state in which non-Jews are still allowed to live, unharassed in principle - of course, things are complicated as a result of terrorism, though those who support the terrorists will tell you that it's the other way around, and it's the complications and inspire terrorism, a myth which a basic understanding of Israeli/Palestinian history would quickly dispell). Yet, one of the conditions for establishing a Palestinian state is the dismantling of all Jewish towns in the Palestinian territories, and that the Jews all leave. In other words, Palestine must be JUDENREIN! (I'm surprised this hasn't become a popular chant for pro-Palestinian activists - it's accurate, and it rhymes.)

So, just to re-cap:

A Jewish state with non-Jewish minorities =
Racist for wanting to be a "Jewish state".

A Palestinian state from which all Jews have been ethnically cleansed =
A fair and just solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Sound reasonable? Yeah, I didn't think so either.

They have completely over-run the West Bank, which is supposedly under control of the Palestinian Authority, which I assume is what you mean when you refer to Palestina. This area consists from a jewish point of view of two truly ancient and short-lived jewish kingdoms called judea and samaria, and of course we all know that cock and bull yarn about the mountain-god yahweh who supposedly promised jews this particular piece of real estate, and now this absurd claim is somehow binding on the world. Anyway, they have destroyed pretty much everything - all the villages with their stone cottages, the olive groves - everything is paved over to create high rise apartments and endless strip malls ( jews love to shop) - and now the infamous walls,a vast network honeycombing the west bank and segregating Palestinians to the point where they cannot even carry on basic commerce; it's a sqeeze operation. The P.A. is a joke; the West Bank as a Palestinian enclave has essentially died a slow and agonizing death, the Gaza Strip is under seige, largely without even water what to speak of food and medicine. Somehow one gets the impression that jews do not like gentiles in their midst. And - one for the history books - remember this nightware came upon the Palestinians in 1948 with the idea that they not Germans should "atone" for the Final Solution and give up their country. But most of all these depradations are based on ancient hebrew mythology. Last week the IDF shot and killed two unarmed 15-year-old Palestinian boys who were trying to escape by crawling on the ground from the besieged Gaza Strip. This was done in cold blood; anyone with binoculars could see they were unarmed. It was actually retaliation for one of those pathetic home-made missiles Hamas fires off and which do nothing to relieve their oppression but is better than doing nothing. One of those missiles killed two cows belonging to a jewish farmer. So the IDF was called in for a vengeance operation. Two boys shot to death in retaliation for two jewish cows. And imagine, these creatures think they are a chosen people. Most nations question if they even qualify as people. They don't see themselves that way; they are the only humans, and the "gentiles" are subhuman, what a mentality.

what's Palestina??? can you show it to me in a map?

are you a joke or born yesterday?

by the looks of your profile and Q and A you think you play a good game. Cheers!

"Maybe if Israel was as immoral as most of it's arab neighbours, they would finally be relieved and teach them cowards some lessons they will never forget?

I don't know, but is trying to be moral not more of a sign of fear towards the enemy (why else the need to be good towards those who have nothing but bad intentions towards you when you didn't have any bad intentions to begin with, maybe being ruthless is the only thing those people understand?)

I would also be afraid of the growing of a leftist mentality amongst Israeli's. I hope the younger generation won't fall for that."

There are Jews living in the West Bank, and some percentage of that area may one day be Palestine. For the most part the Palestinians are against those Jews living there, and in any final border agreement they would be evacuated from their homes and brough within Israel's borders like what happened in Gaza. The Samarians that mark mentions are not considered Jews by other Jews, rather an offshoot of Judaism.

Asherah - Jews living in Palestine are called "settlers" and they live in "settlements". What people haven't mentioned so far is that there are hundreds of settlements and outposts, and that the land to build settlement houses on was confiscated from the Palestinians and is illegal according to international law.

Then special roads were built for settlers to get to their setlements, thus confiscating more Palestinian land. Also, the Palestinians are not allowed on these hundreds of miles of roads.

The settlements have green grass and many houses have swimming pools. Meanwhile, the Palestinians living in villages closeby are frequently without water (because the Israelis control it) and certainly none of them have swimming pools nor even grass.

Many of the settlers are the extremists and will do anything to have that land. Sadly, they have often left their settlements at night and chopped down olive trees that are the livelihood of the Palestinians who own them. They've also been often known to attack the Palestinians when they try to harvest the olives.

In Hebron there are the greatest problems because the settlers and Palestinians live side-by-side. The Christian Peacemakers walk the Palestinian children to school because they frequently have stones thrown at them by the settlers.

So I hope this sheds light onto why Palestinians have a huge problem with Jews living in Palestine. It is not the same situation at all as the Arabs who live in Israel.

First of all Samaritans do not consider themselves as Jews. After the Assyrian (Babelonian) kingAbekudanezer (spelling?) invaded Israel (northen kingdom) not long before First Temple was destroyed (586 BC) he relocated almost all Jews into Assyria. From there they somehow disapeared. From then on 10 out of 12 tribes of Israel are considered to be lost. He then moved people from Assyria into the conqured territory, and there were just few poor Jews that were also left. They mixed together as well as created their own religeon havily influenced by Judaism, but not exactly the same. Those people are called Samaritans, and their remnant is still living here. But neither they themselves nor anyone else considers them Jews. So Mark's notion of them as Jews is in error. As for Jews living among Muslims in so called "occupied territories" there are ~270.000 (including myself) that live there. But we live there ander Israeli authorities in Israeli settlements. Any city or vilage that were transfered under palestinian control would never allow any Jew to move there. Furthermore any Jew that would by mistake actually enter such place is under very real danger of being lynched by a mob. One such horrific event has occured in 2002 and several have been prevented by timely intervention of Israeli army. For fairness I have to say that in several other cases local arabs themselves contacted Israeli authorities to pass those lost Jews back to Israel. In any case due to very high danger to any Jew entering such place it is Illegal for Israelies to enter those places. I hope that clarifies the situation for you

There are approximately 270,000 Israeli settlers in West Bank - see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_settlements#Population They are allowed to live there under the Israeli Government, but the Palestinian Authority wants them all out

Good Luck!!!

Edit - the Samaritan Jews are not for Palestina or Israel, but try to keep a neutral stance, however, in recent years they have found themselves politically more aligned with Israel than the PA - see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samaritan for more information on them.

Yes. The oldest Jewish Palestinians community most live in Nables city. They are called the Samarian Jews they are not Zionist by all means they are Palestinians too. They are called the Palestinian Jews by other Jews.

MJ. "The Samarians that mark mentions are not considered Jews by other Jews, rather an offshoot of Judaism."If those Jews who lived in the holy land for more than 3000 years are not Jews who is please.

asherah: There are many Jews who do not support Israeli occupation polices.
http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/...
http://www.nkusa.org/

So the conclusion of this question is if you are not a Zionist you are not a Jew . All the Jews who have dead before the Zionist movement were not Jews. Sorry

am
If you mean Jews without Israeli citizenship living under the protection of the Palestinian Authority, then no.

And Samaritans are not Jews and they would be pretty offended if they saw what you posted.

i don't know what palestina is. if you mean the old region, israel is part of it.
there are some jews living in the west bank, but they have to protect themselves from the arabs or they are attacked. there are no jews living in the arab neighborhoods because they are attacked or harassed or killed.
but you're right, there are a million arabs living in israel, among jews.

jewish people can share the land. we're waiting for the arabs to learn how.
