I don't believe that we can really move ahead unless we address the issues of the past....

I believe that just leaving these things to lie dormant only defers the inevitable day of reckoning ! Far better to recognise what made us the way we are , deal with it & then move ahead !

I have tried, though some things from the past keep popping up. For the most part, I have let everything go, so my past does not haunt me.

Yes because life moves on and each day is a new day, the past is like a movie, you watch it and you'll either laugh, cry or be joyful but nevertheless once the movie ends we move on to the next one, or forget the bad times

no way! maybe u can ignore, forget ur past. BUT we r ( the kind of persons that we r) an outcome of all our previous expereinces. u can not erase/delete what happened n go back in time to be the person u were before being subjected to this or that expereince. I do not think that is even possible. Y ou can leave the past n life the present n the future. but to be as if nothing ever happened? unless there is smthg as human hard disc format i wont agree lol

Sometimes i can...but most of the time i don't. In my head i think that ive let go of things...but simple memories bring back feelings im not expecting...the pain/happiness of those memories shock u so much lol. Did that make sense?

LITTLE BY LITTLE. I am recovering from the wounds of the past. I just think of the better things that will come my way than reminiscing sweet memories that came to an end. :) what I trully learned is that LOVE comes in the right time.... for me its not yet now... I'm young and should know how to enjoy first rather than getting into a real serious relationship. I know that it will come my way, I dont need to seek for it,,,, it will lead its way to me... :)
