Are you fortunate enough to still have both your parents?

T.I
Yes. Im still blessed to have them around. In fact i don't know how i'd live without them. I love my parents so much because they have always fought for my life from day 1 of my conception.

sins
Even more than that! I have a fabulous pair of step parents too! My mum and dad's spouses are as close to me as can possibly be, so I am indeed very blessed!

cakes
No, my parents were lucky enough to not have to witness what is going on in SA today. They both passed away in the late 90´s, and they were both over 80 years old.

Vango
My mom is still alive. She is a wonderful woman for whom I have great admiration.
My dad died of cancer when I was 13 but he left a legacy of many memories and great wisdom. He is as close to a hero as I have.

Res
I unfortunately do not have both parents...... My overly protective Mother passed away (I was sixteen) my father is an acquaintance that tries to keep a close distance because he is so worried about his excessive riches. I died for him when I was still a little girl. He married his affair and regrets it every single day of his life. (His own words) He built a new family in Namibia….forgot his little girls, I was one. My mother struggled and succeeded to bring us up without his help and support. Today he is oh so terribly proud of us, but the contact is tainted because his whole world revolves around money ….he finds it difficult to understand that two little girls might still be trying to find their Daddy...not his filthy money.

I'm fortunate to only have one - my dad.
I left my mother as a kid and haven't seen the beast since!
Sometimes single parent families are the better option.

Benks
Yes I am, but sometimes they can be a lil crazy and make me so mad....still they are my parents and i love them...

No. My mom died in 1991 from a long illness.

My dad got remarried and they both were killed in a car accident in 2002.

If you have both your parents still, tell them you love them every day.

Both my mom and dad are alive, but I see my dad one day every year or two... or three. So it's almost as if I only have my mom left. :)

Yes I am very fortunate too.

I nearly lost my father last year to Meningitis - he had both types (Bacterial meningitis and Neoplastic meningitis)
He was in a coma for over a week and in ICU for a month.
His heart stopped 3 times. Worst 2 months of my life!

Sadly, no. My father died a few years ago. He had prostrate cancer. Although my mother is still in her fifties, she has chosen not to remarry and still pines for my father. I am in the process of trying to move her and my sister to Australia so that they can be with me. She is a fantastic mother and I want her to be happy and comfortable for the rest of her life.
