My first questions when I joined YA were about my daughter. That was in different sections. Then I discovered the Egypt section and asked a question about craft supplies in Cairo. Later I asked a question concerning my daughter in the Egypt section, got an answer from the sweetest, kindest and most considerate person in the world and the rest is history! hehehe

I became very happy to have found such a wonderful friend that always gives me hope! And I also came to know many other wonderful friends as well. But honestly, matiz3aloosh ya banat, you have to admit, Hope is the absolute best! hehehe She is so sweet and innocent unlike faree2 ilrad7 wilfasad! :P

So yes, I did find what I wanted. Answers to my questions, as well as some wonderful friends! Wa7shany ya amar!

Everytime I googled a question, the answer I was looking for was at yahoo answers! So I cut the middle man out and just started coming here for questions!

Till recently I was just answering questions generally from the main page of Y,, till one day , I saw a question, the askers is very popular ,and he put it as a contest (was to show his knowledge) it was funny , that he put wrong information in the question,, I answered the question , with references , (to 3 encyclopedias ) but he insisted in his position ,,,and send me a private e mail to say farther research should be taken (in one of history facts ,,,lol) . then I started, to answer in this section,,, Just to feel close to my people while being fel 3'orbah...It is funny , I never watch any Arabic TV channels while I am in Egypt, But here , I watch the only channel I get ( 30 euros/month ) ART 1 which is really bad, but al3'orbah sa3bah, wel 3esha fe masr asa3b,, good morning to you

i used to hangout at P&S a lot then i came here by accident, answered some questions, watched some nice Egyptians here such as

joining ya! was for neither,i had a message in mind when i first started and joined R&S.
but now i spend that much time in egypt because i find friends here and many of them are better that those who i have out there....
and i've kinda found what i'm looking for,i found ppl who loved me for who i am,i found someone who'd listen to me,and lift me up when i'm down,i found ppl that i really matter to them even though they didn't meet me....

Same as bullykiller, each time i had a question i found its answer using google in the yahoo answers, so I joined and then I loved here and I think became addicted :)

I joined YA out of curiosity and went to other categories like R&S until I got bored of the trivial subjects like Budha and Athiesm. I decided to turn my back on the whole thing until I stumbled on this section and found all these fine people. I watched the questions and answers as I was silent for a couple of days and then I knocked at the door to recieve a good welcome by almost every one here. I changed my views about YA and I got trapped in here with no way out.
Yes, I found what I was looking for and that was the fine company of fellow Egyptians who made me feel like home since I live abroad for sometime.

Gave me something to do and allowed me to befriend other Arabs I never knew, which is really interesting because many of them live near you. I also love the experience of talking other people for the sake of staying social.

I kept seeing YA show up in searches...then one day I had a question and tried it out and I have been addicted ever since! I am sure there have been moments in my addiction where I have been bored and or lonely and have turned to YA to feel better. It's pathetic but a reality.

i typed a question about Egypt in google and yahoo answers came up i was like woahhhhh how cool is this. The good affects are that there are wonderful people on here and its great for gaining information, the bad affect is that one must limit the time spent on here..

Well i wanted to ask a question about going back to sharm on my own after i had been on holiday there and met my boyfriend so that's why i first came here. But then i came more and more not to ask questions as i don't ask many but to answer in the Egyptian section and i love this section everyone is really friendly and caring and i love talking about Egypt and learning more and more about Egypt.

i was bored one day and found that button on yahoo toolbar, i tried it and i was always in jokes, friends sections till i discovered Egypt one. i began to answer questions then addicted to find how others present thier points of view.
Became one of the members - family - and when i ask something everybody helps.
Ofcourse sometimes i ask a question that i know its answer but needs someone to assures it to me. Other times when am really confused i come up with an answer that solves everything..

I came across it by chance when I saw and add abt YA in yahoo homepage. I did not know abt the Egypt category till abt a month or 2 later after being a YA member. I found it really interesting that everyone around was Egyptian.

Sometimes both. I saw the Yahoo Answers ad on Yahoo front page. Curious enough I clicked on it and thought it was the coolest thing they could have ever done for Yahoo members.
My husband is very busy at times. I also help my sweet mother-in-law too. I pray, research things, watch some C.S.I. and N.C.I.S.
:) My husband and I did find a couple here in Alex that is just like us... husband is Egyptian and wife (me) US citizen.
I didnt remember what catigory I started in. So out of curiosity I kept on going back and back on my profile. Looks like I started out in "Health" then "Pregnancy".Then Friends, Singles & Dating, Adolesent, Computers software, Cooking Then R&S because I just felt that I had to share my beliefs in an unbiased opionion. Sometimes I was in a mood to just chew someone out because they say some really mean things. But that does not happy very often. Alhamdulillah. Then ventured to pets, DIY, health & ediquette. I like alot of catigories.
Everyone here in Egypt is very sweet & friendly so Im in this catigory sometimes when I see a statement or answer that I can put in.
Alhamdulillah for everything.

I participated in Y!A for the purpose of increasing my knowledge, share experience, to assist & seek assistance.

I found myself gaining something that is very valuable, which is honest and sincere friendship, it is precious relation because there is no rich or poor, beautiful or ugly, VIP or simple, old or young; only visions , emotions and minds flow, that was the base how friendship relations were establised here.

I am proud and happy with the friends I gained here, I hope to keep those valuable friends as long as possible, and try my best to give them the hand when they are bored or lonely and seek their help when I am bored or lonely.

There where times when I received precious words from my friends when I was feeling lonely and depressed , they gave me a hand and supported me while they don't know.

I am gratefull to all my friends here and can't find the proper words to thank them, all what I can say they are very valuable to me.

I noticed Y/A at the home page, I wanted to ask about a recipe, I did and got an immediate answer. I liked the idea and started to answer in etiquette, food and drink, health and others till I found Egypt by chance since then I am addicted to it.

i join YA bcz i was bored from msn and all the boring people who keep annoying me with there questions.and i needed someone to read my feelings and ideas without him knowing me personnaly like in msn.bcz i just wanna tell whats in my mind and in my heard.

It was a long story to tell , I was just recovering from illness in my vacation last November , I had lots of investigations to know what is wrong with me and i found nothing.. but my general condition was very bad and i went to the most clever cardiologists u can imagine but they found nothing wrong with me except a mild mitral prolapse revealed by the echo i made ...I was lonely and very depressed very depressed for some family and emotional problems , so i used to sit with my PC to forget my pain , I was adjusting my avatar and i found the link to here , since i clicked on it , I have been with ur company .
Actually I was always a guest on the medical and R&S section first , then finally here
I made great friends here like Redwine , Sistablu , AA and others who knew me personally , and I am looking forward to taking our friendship to higher levels In Sha Allah!
I don't find it addective as i have a good control on myself , but I found it sometimes interesting .

Happy Fitr for all of you on this category even the people who got me upset before............wish me the best in my following life and its challenges!
