Some good answers here. Its not hard to see why the arabs would hate Israel, not hard at all. Here are some quotes about hatred:

Can I answer your question with a story of my own?

I am mixed of Lebanese and Palestinian blood.
My Palestinian grandmother was born and used to live in the city of Jaffa (Yafa). When she was about 16 years old, the people of her village were told that they had to leave their homes and only take a few belongings with them. They were also told that this move was temporary and that they would return back to their homes. When they left, the people of Jaffa reached a checkpoint and any valuables (such as jewelry, gold, etc) they had on them were stripped away from them.

Her and her family moved away to Lebanon where she met my grandfather. She moved to Lebanon because she wasn't allowed to go back home. She was luckier than the other Palestinians, but she was still humiliated by the people of Lebanon and was treated as a second class citizen. They then moved to Kuwait just as many other Lebanese and Palestinians did because of more problems.

She is only one of millions of Palestinians who no longer live on the land that they called home. Not only were they kicked out of their homes, but some were forced to live in refugee camps with horrible conditions and I'm sure you know how the story of the oppression of the Palestinians goes on.

You asked the Israeli's why Hezbollah was doing that to you.
We ask each other why were we kicked out of our homes and the land we lived on? Why were we humiliated by those near us and ignored by the rest of the world?
After 60 years, we still have no answer. Is it because the world hates us?

I'm not trying to offend you, Arieh, because I have read your answers before and I know you are not a hypocrite, but you should know that when a group of people is oppressed and the world ignores them, violence and hate is sure to erupt and they will try to fight back.

And "no matter what Israel does to appease the Arabs," it is not so easy for a people to simply forgive and forget what happened only 60 years ago and what is going on today.

I'm pretty neutral , I'm living in a country where there is Muslims Jews and Christians living in peace and love , I got lots of friends who are Jews living here ( Morocco ) or in Israel and I have absolutely nothing against anyone ...but when I hear " Israel " , my body starts shaking and I just wanna cry , the wounds are too deep and they need time to be healed , yeah Arabs hate Israel and wish it'll disappear , but , have you ever asked WHY ?

I'm rather surprised by your "question", Arieh---you're usually pretty reasonable. I would have to reply, because "They hate us! Everyone hates us!" is the stock Zionist answer to EVERYTHING---that, along with "Because God GAVE us that land!"
Shouldn't the Israelis start asking themselves WHY everyone "hates them"?
BTW Arieh, smaller numbers has nothing to do with anything. Hate, subjugation, prejudice and apartheidism is as easy for the "few" as it is for the "many".

You say "no matter what Israel does to appease the Arabs, we will always be hated and therefore there will never be peace". Funny I haven't seen Israel do much to bring peace about. Give the Palestinians a sovereign nation of their own, stow the pathetic historic-religious justifications for Israel, stop building those damn settlements, bring the rule of law back to Israel and tell your soldiers not to shoot any more children!! Maybe then the rising tide of hatred might subside.

For a mature man I am flabbergasted as to why you are so naive.

Israeli forces always say that! You should know that, and they also tell us we are better and purer than the Arabs and that G-d loves us and not them!

Israelis are taught to hate Arabs just as Arabs are taught to hate Israelis. Why? Because both sides have hurt each other. Israel has hurt Palestinians far more than they have hurt us and I just hope more Israelis can put aside their blind allegiance because it doesn't help and too many people have died and will continue to do so.

American gives Egypt 2 billion a year "to be quite". It's a simple strategy used extensively by America.

Its a very good question sir. And unfortunately (really unfortunately) your probably correct.
The only thing that probably differ's Egypt and Jordan from Gaza And Lebanon etc is the fact that they have the brains to realise that no one is going to win in this war. So they might as well just play the game of live and let live.

I think you are right exactly... if you look back into history - from right at the start of islam arabs have had it in for us...

They have this holy book, that in so many cases is followed blindly - that advocates killing and calls jews all sorts of derrogatory names... and unlike the torah - which mentions not mixing with certain tribes but which is something to be understood to be no longer relevant today - there are many arabs which dont seem to be able to understand context and relevance of such things in their koran...

I think hatred of jews has become ingrained into the arab phsyce over many hundreds of years, and even with the more '' tolerant '' ones there is a kind of derogatory view of jews ... i cant see it changing any time soon either ...

it isnt logical, its religious fervor and cultural conditioning, and whatever we do - jews will always be wrong and bad and with an ulterior motive...

the change needs to come from them alone, but it requires a willingness and i dont see that either ...

Yes I believe that there is a hate culture in Palestine. Not ALL subscribe to it, but many do. Let me explain:

The Jewish people deserve a state. I am all for a two state solution and so is Israel. The problem is that they tried giving up Gaza. The left it entirely. But that only allowed the terrorists to send rockets deeper into Israel.

Only when the Palestinians stop supporting terrorists will there be a chance for peace in the region and for the Palestinians to get a state.

And by the way, over 1,000 Israelis died by being blown apart by suicide bombs in cafes, restaurants, nightclubs-- during the Second Intifada.

They are NOT going to win that way, AND it is killing innocent people. If they were logical, they would use diplomacy. But instead, they just want to HATE! It is a culture of hate. There are tv shows about killing Jews-- shown to little kids to make them subscribe to the hate culture.
