no dad is telling the truth, if your boyfriend takes you across state lines, he is committing felony kidnapping, casue it crosses state lines it becomes a federal investigation cause it crosses state jusidiction. if you go out of the states, its an international kidnapping, i wouldnt step out the door with you, cause your dad
has told you its illegal, its illegal, if you go with your boyfriend,
you have ended his life cause he will go to a federal prsion.

NO you canNOT go. You are still a minor and canNOT legally do this. Your boyfriend may even have legal problems like KIDNAPPING, as you are still a minor. Even if you go with him willingly you canNOT legally make that decision. NOT until you are 18. Sorry.

I think he`s telling the truth. You are not classed as an adult yet so he is your legal guardian. Whats more important is that you should respect your father enough and not go if he doesn`t want you to. When your 18 you can do what you want unless you are still under his roof where you will still have to be democratic.

Your dad is right, you cannot, you need your parents consent.

You are not considered responsible, by law, at 16. You will not be able to get a mortgage, a loan, rented accommodation etc.etc. Your parents are responsible for your actions until you are eighteen. You are also not allowed to leave home until you are 17, even then, your parents have a right to know that you are safe. The law is there for good reason.

Thank god that government is considering keeping young adults in school till they are 18, the years 16 - 18 are ridiculous, old enough to join the army, old enough to go to work, but not old enough to have any rights. I feel for you, even though I am 40 now, I can still remember the frustration of being 16-18.

Take it from me though, now I am older, I can understand why the law tries to protect you, and your parents try to protect you. It is only two years, if your boyfriend loves you he will wait, he will also respect your parents wishes and be glad he has a girlfriend with responsible parents.

The fact of the way you refer to your father's opinion says you are not mature enought to make that decision anyway. Sounds like a boshy teenager who knows everything and thinks they can do exactly as they want. Never mind in a few years time you will have children of your own and they will treat you as badly as you treat your parents.

You absolutely need to have Dad's permission.And maybe a cover letter stating it.
I would suggest that you go on an organised tour.
Not just catch a flight and freelance it from there.
Neither of you can have had much experience as travellers,due to your age.
Egypt is a wonderful country. I love it and it is my 2nd home.But I do know enough, working in tourism you will have problems if you go by yourselves.
If you are not wearing a wedding ring you will not be able to get a double room,do you realise that? Most likely even on a tour you will not be allowed share. I know the company that I work with would not consider it.
Unless you get Dad to say he gives you permission to sleep together.Will he do that?
Egypt is a moderate Islamic country. But you must be courteous and follow their customs while you are there, in all ways.
That means no premarital sex. It is just not done. Certainly among people so young and so openly.
See what you can do but get some more advise from a reputable tour company in your country.
The risk of getting a dodgy one by booking here is just to great. Although the company I work for is Egyptian.
But as I said the boss would never accept a double booking from you. Only two twin shares (with others of the same sex) or singles.

Until u r 18 your parents can pretty much control where you live, sorry but thats how it is for me over here, I am 17 and I tried to be w/ my boyfriend and when I ran away, the cops found me and I have been stuck here ever since. It is going to suck, Im sorry

I think everybody misunderstood your question. I think you didn't mean whether your dad can actually forbid you to go, but whether you're gonna face problems in Egypt due to the fact that you're with your boyfriend, not husband!
If that's the case, what I know is that a couple can stay in Egypt in any hotel as long as they're foreigners even if it's outside wedlock. This is forbidden for Egyptian Citizens.
BUT I'm not sure whether your age plays any role here!
So, if I understood your question correctly, you'd better call a hotel and check. Call e.g. Marriot: +2-02-735-8888
I'm sure you've heard of it. It's a very well known 5 star hotel! So, ask THEM whether it's legal for you or not.

it depends on the country you live in and the country your going to. For you to go with him in Canada to Egypt you would have to first get permission to marry him (under 18) and than you would have to consult egyptian law.

Depending upon the country in which you reside, it's legal as long as you have a valid passport and your parent's permission; or, you are emancipated, which means you have petitioned the courts to allow you to fend for yourself and have received written permission. However, in order to do so, you should first finish school and have a viable means of support so that they see a trend of self-sufficiency before you apply...otherwise, it's your BF who's going to pay the price!

you can travel with someone over the age of 18 legally but if your BF is not 18 then you will need to show the travel agent some form of permission from an elder. if in doubt read the back of your brochure.
