yeah and we were taught at school every friday.there was a special activity period just for this.we were taken to the swimming pool and there was a diving instructor to teach us and all this was for free.

no,due to a very serious drowning accident when i was young.i am still very afraid of the beach but i go into swimming pools because they are always life guards around and no sharks!!

well i'm from alexandria (mediterranean sea)
when i's back in egypt i used 2 spend most of da day at beach in da water (except if there 're any bikinis tanin ..then i totaly 4get all about swimmin & sea water ....;PPP)

YES! i love to swim! my parents took me like before i was 1. with those little yellow floaty things that you sit in and then when i got a little older i took lessons. now we have a pool... so i swim alot, but i would just take lessons and if your like an adult take private lessons

Well I didn’t know how but cuz my work is a flight attended I must know how to swim otherwise I will fail so when the test came for the swimming I through my self in to the water with 3 meters deep with life jacket and I swamed and passed I was deadly scared but I want to pass from that day I forced my self to learned how to swim now im ok :)

I can swim. I learned swimming from my uncle when i was in California in his private pool. I was like 6 yrs. old. Awwwww. Miss those dayz :(

No....and that is one thing that i should have liked to do, ...........I tyried many times in the club, but i was afraid to the water.
I love the beach and really miss not knowing how to swimm.
May be some day.............who knows???

I was 3 when I learnt, and just went to lessons. Used to love it.
Its a great way to learn... and at that age you arent particularly scared of anything... so ya :)

i learnt to swim with my parents in Spain and then when i got older and we could afford it my parents took me to a professional swim instructor now i have got loads of gala medals. 12 years after my first lesson :)

I can swim, but I'm not that good when it comes to treading water. My sister helped me a little, but I mostly taught myself at the lake that we would always go to in the summer.

Yes, when I was young (6 years) all people in my country learned how to swim!

no really when I was 1 year old I knew how to swim, my home was 5 min away from the beach, I remember when I am about 8 my dad used to take me and give me some lessons.

I'm a very good swimmer It was my best hobby, I used to do some good skills when I was in Lebanon, the last time I swam was 2 and half years ago tho

I used to know how to swim but I never liked it so I stopped and now I have forgotten. Go enrol in swimming lessons if you want to learn.
