Could a one-state solution bring peace? Is it feasible? |

It's not feasible. The two-state solution is the only solution. |

At this point, no. There is too much hatred and mistrust on both sides. It doesn't seem to me that Israelis and Jews generally feel comfortable enough to lose their numerical (hence, political) superiority, for some powerful historic and contemporary reasons. And as for the Palestinians, I'm afraid the radicals would only use the situation to the detriment of the Jews. But eventually, several generations from now, perhaps it could work. But then maybe more in the form of a federation. |

Not unless one side holds a significant majority of the power.
Either though a large majority of the population (over two thirds) or by non democratic means.
If it were to be tried now at best it would look like Bosnia. Two states under one goverment. |

A one-state solution basically states that there will be one state. This works with moderates. The people 18+ years (both Jewish and Arab) vote for the Knesset, people 21+ years who are elected (both Jewish and Arab) hold office for four-year terms. The Knesset is the legislative branch, but also appoints the executive branch to seven-year terms. This already works within moderates, but we need to educate the radicals to become moderate. |

Such an attempt will only be feasible when the INTENTIONS are SINCERE & HONEST. God All-powerful may help us all. |

No, I don't think that it is. Both sides are fearful of being the minority in a single state, as they believe (with much historical backing) that this would only lead to discrimination and dhimmi status.
So, although it's a nice utopian dream... I believe that it is a dream.
Sorry to be cynical, but I think this is realistic. |

ITS A PROBLEM CAUSE THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION WOULD NOT BE JEWISH...and this will affect the law of return ,the national anthem of hatikvah and the IDF since arabs would be problematic soldiers....better to work on a two state solution..... |

There will be no peace as long as the Arab world is adamant about the destruction of Israel. |

How?
The whole point is that never again can Jews be a minority in EVERY country on earth. It has always ended tragically for us. We have to have one tiny corner of the earth where we control our safety.
The Arab world was opposed to any idea of a democratic Jewish state from the moment it was first suggested, let alone turned into a reality.
Given the hate-filled propoganda found in most Muslim countries, and the terrorism inflicted on Israel by the Palestinians, and the fact that the Palestinians elected Hamas to represent them, do you REALLY think that Jews would be safe in a country where they were the minority, along with a Palestinian majority?
Kismet, I'm all for optimism, but honestly, that would be so dangerous for Jews and Israelis.
There are TWENTY TWO Muslim countries.
There is one tiny Jewish state. |

Our endgame is to have one democratic state for all . The question is are the Arabs ready for one state. So far they are not ready. |

no, the arabs will not rest until israel and the jews are gone |

No... I don't think so... too much chaos going on in one country. It would be a civil war! :(
I like the two state or Jordanian solution better... I think its more feasible. Either way, as long as there's peace... Im all for it! :D |

It is feasible :
There are too many greedy old men on both sides who want to be in power.
But the other side of the coin *
It would become one of the strongest state in that area and NO ONE wants that.
It will be bad for the weapon industry and suppliers. |

Yes it is feasible when both side come to understand the meaning of nationalism. Can a Jew living in Brooklyn be citizen of Israel simply because he is a Jew.
Yes it is feasible if we have a written constitution to protect our citizenship in the state the ball is on the Zionists yard for the last 60 years but it looks like they do not know what to do about who is the Israeli citizen . |
