can we spend half this sum to produce a large production movie on Hollywood talking about Islam and clarifying western mind from the dirt they stick to our religion

Its a good point, but they make money out of these things, its a business, sorry for all those that love amr, nancye and the rest, its a business bas.

That amount of money is nothing, i mean nothing compared to what the saudis are spend on spreading wahabbism and the qataris are spending on investment in other countries.

I often see the arabs who come to london for shopping before ramadan and they spend so much money on so much rubbish (to the point i breath in when i am too near because they are wearing so many kinds of perfume, it can make you sick) I see that they care for no one else, when i see the way they treat the maids, while they are wearing the best of clothes, the maids are wearing rags (yes the veils belonging to the maids just rags, the shoes have holes, the clothes are torn). Thats the women, the men are out getting drunk, gambling and taking prostitutes, there was a guy that was throwing rolex watches out of his car window to the people in the street. They import thier cars to london for the summer, it would be much cheaper to hire a driver and a top car from here rather than import costs, the amount of money they could save, that would save lives is just so much, but simple these kind of people they care for no one.

Research what is Karantina in Saudi, the holy place of Islam and you will wake to this fact.

These rich people are not stupid, would you give money to people to improve things who would just keep it for themselves, Yassar Arafat died with millions of pounds to his name, while his wife lived a very high class life in paris. I didnt hear of her or anyone like her working as a cleaner in a hospital in Gaza.

Having said all of that there are still good, good people that will give charity and take care of other human beings.

Please everyone remember how cold it was last winter in Egypt, i was staying in Cairo for six months and it was so so cold, i seen an old lady who was too cold and she was wrapping herself trying to keep warm, when i went to give her some money, i seen that she had so little fat on her body, there was nothing to keep her warm. so please lets give lots of charity, to the old people, the children, clothes and food.

Asalam alaikum. I couldnt agree more...as for the USA and the West's negative influence, I agree with that also. But it starts at home, where parents are letting satellite t.v. and the internet raise their children instead of taking them to the Mosque and the park and good family places. remember, no one can oppress you until you first oppress yourself....Islam IS the answer. salaams

When people stop thinking about Allah & think only about "Eldonya" it's expected to do more than that.

Let me tell you that when my city get big earthquake last year, Arab government and some Arab Muslim organizations helped and donated much money to recover my city. from that money, we can built new hospitals, schools, houses and many things.

and if some people spends much money to make a video clip, should we generalize all Arabian Muslim for their insensitivity?

$16 billion being spent by 72 million Egyptians (if the number of $16.4 billion is only Egyptian spending) amounts to less than $228 per Egyptian. That is hardly a large enough sum per person to do anything. If you are truly upset by this you should sell all of your equipment like your computer and give the cash to one of the many international agencies helping with these tragedies (UNICEF comes to mind as one). So be part of the solution and don't act like you are so really bothered by these developments. Stop pointing the finger at others and start looking at the man in the mirror.

May I ask why you are bothered only by suffering of Sudanese, Ethiopians, Somalis and Pales tines? Aren't there any other people on Earth who are starving or dying in war? Couldn't you just say "all people who are starving and dying in war"? Or these people you mentioned above deserve help more that others?

And if you care about those people that much, then why didn't you point your finger to some other things that we don't necessarily need to live our lives, but we enjoy them (at least some of us)? You could, for example, ask why we are spending so much money on football while people are starving?

Obviously, you don't worry that much about starving and dying people, but about music video clips.

But why do you worry about them that much?

Somebody here said ironically that people consider this "enlightenment". Well, you see, to be enlightened, you should see different things, to be able to broaden your horizons and make your judgments after all. Cutting off what you don't like is not enlightenment.
