Hey PE person - I'm also from the Friendly city!! To answer honestly (lived in the UK 11 years) most English people really like the English South African accent but the sound of an Afrikaans person speaking English really grates them. In NZ now and wow, they think its such a posh accent never had so many complements = the Kiwi's think its a beautiful accent which of course it is:) |
