Now to answer you're question, Yes, there are people who live in Egypt dates back to 6000 B.C. and is one of the most populous and advanced countries in Africa and the Middle East The population is over 76 Million (March 2009 estimate) and the currency is the Egyptian pound and 80% of the population is Muslim with a Coptic Christian minority of 20%

Yes, Egyptians live in Egypt.
We are modern Egyptians.
We go to schools, universities, travel abroad for higher studies.
We use computers and have Yahoo! accounts.
We ride cars, buses, trains, airplanes (our national flight is called Egyptair).
We live in apartment buildings and villas.
And guess what, we also have McDonald, Starbucks, Burger King, Pizza Hut and KFC!

Not only do people live in Egypt but it is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. People also live in neighboring countries Libya, Chad, Sudan, Israel, Gaza (palestinian territories), actually Egypt is the most populated country in the Middle East... I think that people live in every country in the world except antarctica and the south pole but I am sure there are a few people there too. You might have heard of a major conflict called the Arab-Israeli conflict in which Jews and arabs have had several wars in the last 60+ years? One of the very BIG wars was between Egypt and Israel, both coming out of the conflict with a US brokered peace agreement that gives both countries yearly allowances of billions of US tax dollars in foreign aid!! Lets hope there are people living there or else 50 billion + US dollars has been given to a country with no people! Many Egyptians are born in Egypt but many people that are not Egyptians are born there too such as Palestinian Leader for many years Yasser Arafat! Yasser Arafat was born in Cairo which is the capitol city in Egypt!! Egypt contributed much to civilization in ancient times, but also today you will find some of the best arabic arts, culture and literature coming out of Egypt. It is also one of the important countries involved in resolving the ongoing conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis, by facilitating very important meetings for peace conferences and negotiations related to prisoner exchanges. Egypt also produces some of the softest cotton in the world. Should I go on?
