I believe results are due to our actions/inactions. However, there are greater powers to influence/re-direct our lives at times, which is beyond our control. |

Hola Everybody!

Yes, I think some things are destined to happen, as some things are not destined to happen. It's our life to do with what we wish, but I think (God) destiny already has some plans in store for us. |

No. I believe that once people leave their fate to destiny, that they become complacent and apathetic. They become resigned to let things happen to them instead of making things happen.
If you really want something to happen (e.g., getting a certain job or gaining admission to a certain university), then you have to take matters into your own hands and do everything possible to make things happen. |

Yes.....I do, but not in a blindy way...
I think that we all have "written" the things what will happen to us since we born, but also I believe that we can change things and get them better.
As if you have a garden with flowers......you have the flowers, but you can add something to become them nicer..or you can stop watering them and they die.
You have the elements to change things....but have to know what to do. |

Yes I do.....I believe that we aren't here by accident . That we are part of God's plan & purpose in his incredible creation & that we were created in his likeness to serve him.
That is destiny from a biblical perspective.... |

Good Question,
I believe in opportunities, I believe in chance and in fate, but what you do with them becomes your destiny. |

Not at all. I don't believe in destiny, god, or ka, or fate, or anything of that nature. I believe that each person controls his or her own path, and that no out side force had any effect of our lives. I refuse to believe that each decision I make was pre thought out by "destiny". |

I am not a "holy-roller" but....
Jesus explained that God has given us "free will". This explains why God's children can make dumb, bad and even evil decisions in their life. It is the decisions in ones life that will determine the person they become and are. It will also determine if that person will receive life everlasting and be welcomed into the Kingdom of God.
If one believes in "free will", then destiny is a moot concept. Our lives would not be "mapped-out" with a pre-determined destination, outcome or destiny.
I happen to believe in free will, personally. I think those who believe in "fate" or "destiny" can either deny or ignore the impact of their decisions, and more importantly their responsibility for their decisions since their fate or destiny is pre-determined.
Thus, their "decisions" are not really decision and their "choices" are not really choices, because it all leads to their fate or destiny, which is already a foregone conclusion.
I think we have more control over our lives and the impact of simple or complex events, and other individuals on our lives is what makes life and the future so mysterious, exciting, confusing, scary, etc. AND WORTH LIVING!
