I visited Egypt, and the man above HopHop was my guide there. He planned an awesome trip for me, I saw so much and everything was taken care of nicely. I visited Luxor (temples and tombs), Safagah (red sea snorkeling), Aswan (high dam and temples), Cairo (pyramids and museums), and Alexandria (fort and museum). Even my days of "rest" will filled with things to see and do. Definitely, use an egyptologist while visiting the antiquities and meet the local people, all who I met were so warm, generous and friendly. This was a dream trip and I feel that it couldn't have been better. Egypt is really gorgeous and the Nile alone is worthy of visiting. I really can't wait to return, be sure there will be no other guide for me than Mohamed (HopHop).

Also, the girl who said it is a bad past, maybe you should visit and hear some fact from someone who studies the ancient history there and can tell you some truths. Like for one thing, it is not slavery which built the pyramids but it was a winter economic project to protect the farmers who had no work in the season of less growing as well as part of their religious beliefs to build them. And it is still a marvel of ingenuity. If you can imagine each stone large enough to fill most bedrooms here in US was boated down the Nile before it was put in place and we can only guess and not very well. All our grand technology and even we could not do it in this way today. It's a wonder. I love it.

yeah. i lived in Egypt for a bit. i don't like Cairo very much but we spent most of our time in Aswan (don't remember how to spell the names of these places!) and of course saw the pyramids and stuff a few times.

It's a country that MUST be visited , Pyramids are great , SUn and beach in Sharm el sheikh , Diving ,Snorkling , Partying at nights in cairo , great food ...it's so cool I have been 2 times already .

god ive been 3 times and it was fantastic. even took the kids and they loved every sec of it and are craveing to go back. i love walking the night looking at shops and seeing the old towns. watching the belly dancers. seeing the local custom. i even visited a christian church in hurghada town. met some local people who introduced me to there family. got treated with the up most respect. went snookling. went to the desert on quads (kids favourite), watched sunsets. this country has a special place in my heart and ive craved to live there for 3 years.its my dream. and hopefully one day a dream to come true. and most of all i miss the voice of the prayers.

No I think it is creepy, the slavery to build the pyramids, the curses, they way it reflects our stars in heaven, the way they crushed their babies heads. Buring their people alive, it's an evil past and I dont like it a bit!!!!!!
