Oh yes i do agree with that. I lived alone for 10 yrs, in my own house, able to do what i wanted, when i wanted. I had good friends, sometimes a boyfriend, but on the odd occasion i felt lonely, it was still better than being with someone i had grown to dislike.
Now married, much as i love him, there are times i miss being my own person, & having space to breath.
Really great question.

It depends actually, sometimes you can learn a lot from bad company even though you don't realize it. You can learn tolerance, good communication skills and maybe even a few things about yourself. However, sometimes it is better to be alone to contemplate...that is if you're a pragmatic person...So I'd have to say both. |

Hope , I spend a lot of time by myself , I only feel lonely if I am not feeling good . that must stem back to the day your mother held you and gave you medicine to make you feel better.
I seem to be very independent , I love doing adventure in the woods or forest where I make my own fire and put up my tent things like this make me feel " I will survive " I don't carry a gun ,so I guess my company is the wild life around me. They don't want to eat me , ohhhhhhhhhhh I would be TOUGH lol |

Totally agree. At least when you're alone minding your own business, you can do something that you enjoy. eg. watching tv, reading, writing, drawing. But when u're with bad company they can get you into anything that you dont even want to do, or just do because they do it. Which is of course far worse than being alone. |
