I think you can only really tease people "safely" if you know then fairly well.If its done in pure jest and you understand each others background,level of sensitivity etc., then it can really be a lot of fun for both parties.
But too often people tease others to make themselves feel better, or more superior and this is wrong and can be very hurtful.
I would never intentionally set out to embarrass,hurt or belittle someone though teasing them.
I am often the target of my husband and brother in laws and my husbands teasing and practical jokes, but this is all done in a playful way no harm is intended and I can give as good as I get.
They are just like overgrown boys when they get together, I come back at then with they need the safety of numbers to get me!.
I am especially teased about my Australian accent when I speak Arabic,it seems it is a source of great humour!

yay,I adore teasin my friends sooo much.I enjoy it actually lol
but they know that's my way of kiddin,so they just laugh and accept it.but sometimes,they do believe I'm serious and that's when I should make it clear that Iwas only kiddin.
but I guess teasin ur friends,specially if it's reciprocal's really funny!!!!
I know u like teasin others,but try not to go so far and make sure u r teasin someone who knows u r just kiddin and not doin it seriously

ya i love teasing my friends...

i wud constantly go on teasing them on any one pointor statement they made!!
but only till the extent that it stays fun n not hurt them.. n i allow them to do the same wid me.. after all the bottom line is to have fun & a good time wid your friends =)

Just with one particular friend i joke with her and she jokes with me back i don't take it very far and we both know for certain that anything said that could be taken in a hurtful way is just a joke. We actually became friends again through joking with one another as we have known each other all our lives but weren't to friendly but we are now.

Yeh, i'm a bit of a joker with my close friends & sometimes with my close work mates. I can be a tease & a bit of a flirt, but never take it to the extreem.
I always say "if you cant take it, dont give it out".
I always like to say NO to everything, it makes people stop in their tracks, but i always say it with a giggle.

I do this quite often, but I don't take the joke very far...they are my friends after all...I don't want to replace them! :)
