everything is meant to be,, even tiny things, we can not feel that sometimes in our routine, but what is so tiny would have an effect on us or on others, as long humans live...
In a larger scale if there were no wars , we would not have Mobiles as an examples or INTERNET (those were invented because of wars),,,If my father did not studied literature 50 years ago , he would not meet my mother, and I would not be born,,Every thing is written ,and known ,not by the weak human being with his narrow sight ,,

That does not mean we lack the freedom to act, a very simple example , if there is an ant, walking in your direction to its home, and there is fire in between, You Know that the ant will change its route while going home to avoid the fire, some ants- if stupid -will go through the fire and get killed ,,,You know the ant very well, you can see what it can not see, so you know her future planned route,,This is similar a little bit to the description by you ,somethings are meant to be,, But with that , God has the largest knowledge and that what we call fate ,,,A freedom to us with His ultimate knowledge of us (the ant) and the route (our lives),,

Absolutely.. everything happens for a reason.. but that doesn't mean that we should give up and stop trying to make our dreams and wishes come true.. :-)

Yeah...Just make sure that everything happen for a reason and that reason is the right thing coz it's like a circle and you'll find that the end of all of these things is Fate

Yes..and not only good things..sometimes hard things also...because thats called Fate and Destiny..and as a Muslima I believe in this.
But Allah(swt) also gave us a brain Alhamdililah..so we should use it to improve our lives. But the final game plan is not in our hands.
