I dont care.... really.
I use to do it most of the time.........my family has different schedules, and some of them dont eat at home.
Even........I dont cook for myself.. We are all together only on sundays.

I do, sometimes it's just something that I need, I like to eat with my family, but eating alone is just more relaxing, you can take your time, and eat as fast or as slow as you want. I do, sometimes I just want to eat alone.

Absolutely. It seems like when I go out to eat with someone, even my husband, I don't enjoy the food as much. I am too busy chatting, so, yes, I really like eating alone.

No,,,..I've spent too many nights away over the years ! I much prefer the company of others , being able to chat over dinner & take my time.
If I am alone , I tend to eat too fast just to get out of the place !

Usually when I am traveling on business I don't like to eat alone in a restaurant so I'll get room service and if I'm near a good deli or chinese restaurant I'll order takeout.

There's always the old standby The Pizza, however if I am somewhere where people know mw and treat me well I will eat at the bar and throw back a beer or two.

.I grew up in a little village and we were taught that a family that eats together will cherish together. Now I am away from home and I have a family of my own I do wait for the family meals like a little boy. My wife and I work and the children are in school . I am home three times a week during the day so I eat alone. Do I enjoy it ? No, It may be an old habit eating with some one.But I do go out to have a cup of tea or coffee alone with my newspaper now and then.

I used to be afraid to go out to a restaurant alone, for fear of others will think of me as "the lonely guy". But after stepping back and watching others in restaurants, I see people alone all the time, and I never think of them as "some lonely person", only as someone who's hungry and wants to eat.

Eating alone has its advantages. You eat at your own pace, and not have to worry about chatting it up with another person. You can completely enjoy your food.

Of course, the disadvantages to that are that it is sometimes nice to enjoy a meal with another person, while you both enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant, and discussing how good (or bad) your food (or service) is.
