I feel so sad, and also disgusted. But I also feel afraid, because I have friends who live in Gaza, and I have friends who have family that live there. There are people who post on this site who live there, like Dalia. I was away on holiday for 10 days, I just got back yesterday, but for the last day of my holiday, all I could think of were the people there, and checking on them to make sure they were ok. So far they are, but for how long. I hope everyone here will think about them, and how they are coping. Thanks to Sarah for what she said, you have a kind heart.

Disgust. People died, of course I feel disgust. But this is my question... for 60 years, those people keep looking for "terrorists" and they still haven't found them. Yet, they claim they have the best military in the world. It just doesn't make sense.

If "you" are in charge, then you are responsible for the violence, especially with all the tax money you get from me.... My conclusion is that the people in charge are using this bs as an excuse to keep killing people. And I'm not from there, but... it all comes down to common sense and my freaking tax dollars that I DO NOT want to pay to you to support killing innocent people - Israeli or Palestinian.

This has to be one of the most hateful rants (not to be confused with questions) that I've read on this topic. Why is it so many of you people feel the need to turn this into an issue of hating one side or the other?

Well, you asked so here's how I feel about the whole situation.

It breaks my heart parents have passed the kind of hatred on that causes these wars from one generation to the next for over a hundred years.

It infuriates me that some people hate other people more than they love their own children and are even willing to sacrifice their children to feed their selfish hatred.

It disgusts me that anyone would stage a battleground anywhere where children should be playing and enjoying life with the hopes that if they are killed they'll be able to use their dead bodies to bolster support for their asinine side of an illegitimate war that they started.

And it makes me want to puke that so many ignorant people refuse to see the truth of what has happened and is happening. In other words, people like you.

This is an odd question, in that "most" people feel sorrow at the loss of life. Clearly, I feel disgust. As a US patriot, I feel particular disgust, given that the Jewish State kills Palestinians, largely, w/ US-made weaponry. Remember, though, this is much bigger than a Palestine-Israel conflict; it's an Arab-Jewish conflict, and there are WAY more Arabs than Jews. So, even if Israel is able to "win" small victories, ultimately, I believe, that the Arabs utter size and capability will prevail. The PRIME advantage the Jews have is that they are WAY better at manipulating the US political system......especially in congress.

Israel should be entitled to defend itself against rocket attacks. Unfortunately, populated areas will be hit. There is no such thing as NO innocent blood shed in ANY large war. Nobody likes it. I don't like it. I didn't like it when the US hit civilian areas either. But sometimes it has to be done.

i love the state of israel.

it is a beautiful country full of culture and good people.

i do not think all jews are good, just like not all christians and muslims are good.

but i will say that i am against violence, on both sides, and in general.

so to everyone who says all jews are violent and want to fight, that is not true.

i hate war and violence.

I'm sad to see anyone die in violence at all. However, Israel has a right to defend herself against the 10,046 missiles fired at it since the truce began. It;'s obvious a truce means nothing to Hamas. Israel showed remarkable restraint until after December 19th, when the truce expired.

As for the casualties, if Hamas wouldn't fire rockets from mosques, schools, hospitals, etc, then there wouldn't be any "innocent casualties". It's cowardly to hide behind your innocent people in order to expect the opposition won't defend itself. That does make them human shields.
