First of all salamtek alf salama, ISA u will be better before Ramadan.

I will have to answer this q from my personal experience, i DO give much much more than i take from my family, (my daughter, my husband, and my sis), but to me it is never enough i wish i could give even much more. As for my mum and dad, i think it's payback time for me coz they gave me everything and i could never give them what they deserve. So i ask Allah swt to bless them and give them what they deserve, in this life and afterwards.

In general life, yes i am a giver but that doesn't mean that i don't feel bad when people don't give back or when i feel that they r taking advantage of me. I do, especially if i care about them, i sometimes feel that i have misplaced my feelings and trust and am really hurt.

So i came up with this rule, if i really care about this person, i confront them with the way i feel and give them a chance to make it up to me. "the key word is Communication". If after all this they don't care enough about the way i feel then, good riddance......... coz life is to short to live it feeling used or miserable.

Sweetie cheer up and get out of this mood you are in. Think happy thoughts. Ramadan is coming soon ISA and you can focus your thoughts on all the positive things you can do to take thawab ISA.

If you feel you are giving too much to someone who is not appreciating you or is just taking you for granted, just pull back and think for a while. Don't make hasty decisions about the relationship. You really should take into consideration the other person's motive for this behaviour. Honesty and a straightforward talk can really help.

Actually i dont feel that in all branches of life
but in most time i give more that i take but i gain stasfactory and happiness upon my own self:)

That's a VERY difficult question. Human relations are so complicated.
This is a story I heard;
A lady was sitting beside a man on a train.She had just bought a bag of peanuts from the station before getting on the train. The man kept on putting his hand in the bag and eating the peanuts. She couldn't believe herself, "what an *** hole"she said to herself. When she would stare at him to stop eating from the bag, he would just stupidly smile at her and eat more. Finally, she gets up and changes her chair, she could just kill that guy.
She went to work and had a laugh with her friends about that weird guy on the train.
Finally, when she got home, she opened her purse and found an unopened bag of peanuts. She suddenly realized that she was eating HIS peanuts that morning.
Sorry for the long story.

It dependes on the person I deal with, I used to feel that while dealing with my friends in the past but now I don't.
But I always fell that I take more than I should give with my mother & I know I will never do.

you will not notice, coz you will be want to give more than you give already.

I agree with hsafer unless we are speaking about a life partner or business partner.

In most cases direct talks are the best to deal with such kinds of problems if it's concerned with one person. Direct talks here means not e-mails, not by Tele. Conversations. I mean face to face makes the image clear and the meanings of the words more clear and understandable.

Depends on diff. situations and with diff. ppl. I'll give u some examples

my husband- we both give and take equally although he always tends to give me more but I think that is just his nature with me..

my mom- A mother in general always gives gives and doesn't expect anything in return. My mom has given me a lot and I did not give her what she deserves :(

My sister- I tend to wish her all love and happiness and what's best for her, but she's always jealous of me.... I don't know why :(( so here yes I give my love and feelings but get nothing in return (or get something, but something bad lol)

My friends- I give my friends a high priority. but it depends on what kind of friend she is. some only give, some give back, some only take....

Most importantly!!!!

Allah- of ocurse I take take take and take a lot more than I deserve.......................and more than I can give back

i can't generalize this saying on all aspects of life......... but, at least you should separate from that very thin line from being "generous" in your giving without expecting the reward...and from being "generous to the extreme of being idiot and stupid" .

i'll just pick one aspect that is in everyone's hand, and that needs neither money to buy or sell nor a certain standard of living to be able to give............... it's "Emotions".
your emotions can be distributed on every creature Allah has created,starting from animals and Nature around you till the most elevated emotions which is with other human beings and those whom you love, without being finished or ended............... it's infinite and has no limits.
but still, you, at least, need a little compensation from those you love and care for, to be able to regenerate your love again !! :-)

no i think frankly speaking that i take more than i give and i don't know wether its right or wrong .
i sometimes feel when i'm in a bad mood that i don't deseve all that many people giving me
also
sometimes i feel that no body is giving me anything and that i give people all my efforts and they pay no attention so it depends
