There are a couple of forums that consistently have good questions and excellent, thoughful, and respectful posts. Oddly, they have nothing do do with each other: Senior Citizens and Hockey. I've seen lots of terrific questions and received many, many thoughtful answers in Trying to Conceive (although I've also seen tons of uninformed and really stupid questions and answers there, too.) Religion and Spirituality are a mixed bag, too -- I've seen amazingly thoughful answers and hideous personal attacks showing the basest level of ignorance and intolerance. The laziest, most inflammatory questions and answers show up in Polls and Surveys, although sometimes I admit it's awful fun to get a big number of answers to a simple question.
I don't agree with the quote in all circumstances. If a guy rapes his 10-year-old daughter, I'm going to judge him, and I don't give a rat's a$$ where his moccasins took him. |

I try not to, but if i react to someones question or answer, it is based only on what i see in their answers and questions. Some people like Cakes, Heavy, Darth, Blue Bull, Zxcv, Slipper man and Lise to name only a few, i do value their contributions and opinions, but some i don't even bother to answer, some because i don't have an answer and others because they are simply just out to cause trouble and not worth while loosing any sleep over..............just my opinion |

JUDGE NOT LEST THOU BE JUDGED.......
You know, you can't really formulate an opinion about someone based on cyberspace- look where that got our mutual friend Mr. Vango, even what people write may not be a really true reflection of who they are, like I always say- most of this stuff is probably "tongue-in-cheek", or at least let's hope in the case of some...LOL!!! |

I think I had better find another question to answer. I have had enough of all this judging of late. You would think they would have some respect for an old man who is the father of his people, but they all judge me anyway. It is not fair.
If you want to walk on a mine, I have a few friends who probably know where to find one or two. Or perhaps the old cordon sanitaire would be enough. I do not think you should do this, though. It is very difficult afterwards to work on your farm with two wooden legs. |

I judge them on their answers and questions, and the way they interact with the other contributors. I think many people on this forum are being misjudged. I have formed an opinion on most of the regulars here, but I learn something new each day, some things changing my mind about them, others confirming what I already thought.
When I was younger I used to judge pretty quick. Now I give a person a chance before I judge him/her. |

Interesting when there are persons new to the "normal" group.
The questions and answers are sometimes giving a hint of the person behind the name.
Never judge a man/woman. That is one serious quote and people should take it to heart. |

Yes, I judge people by the questions they ask. A sports or car freak would not get much response from me, and someone out to provoke gets a TD. Wish we could give TD“s for questions!.
I also judge them by the way in which they answer questions. I notice how the person addresses fellow users;
what sort of language is being used;
whether the question is actually being addressed, or whether the person is just using it as an opportunity to rant;
whether the person has racial "preferences";
and, the respect that the person has for fellow users and their opinions - very important!. |

I judge them by many things. Posture and whether they are timid or bold. how they speak the language and do they have good vocabulary are just a few.
"Never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes!"
Yes this is a good rule of thumb. Never make final decisions until you face the same problems they have. |

Never judge a book by its cover is my motto. i have met people that I would have crossed the road to avoid, mainly because of their appearance, but they turned out really nice people, well educated & polite. |

By their answers mostly. Although I try not to judge, some people on here just use their answers to brag about their life. A few people here to do that. And others use the q's to express their frustation at SA.
Sometimes its nice if only the question is answered. . . Simple? |

In some instances people can be summed up by what they say and it is truly reflective of them in certain areas. I have met a number of people in person with whom I subsequently became acquainted online and their online personas reflected my first instincts about them.
As for me, I am just as straightforward in person, especially with regards to politics, as I am online. Just ask Vango. All the same, I do not necessarily reject someone simply because they happen to disagree with me, even radically. If they cannot withstand debate, and/or at least offer something mildly intelligent to say, then I'd rather we not "hang out" together. |

I think the saying is 'Never judge a man until You have walked a mile in His shoes'. There were no mines involved. |
