Ohhhh, THOSE kind of "dates"! I LOVE them...they're sort of like candy that's good for you!
I've been eating them since I was a kid. I used to take them (and other cool Mediterranean-type stuff like figs and pomegranates) to school in my lunches. The other kids would say, "What the hell are those?!" but I didn't care, since it meant I didn't have to share them ;)
