I think that living in a country with history gives you a better sense of identity and belonging. |

For visiting.......I like countries with ancient cultures......but for living.............my own country is fine...
It is a young country.....it 's "only" 183 years since the Independence |

I live in a modern , young country ......one of the advantages is that there aren't the historical hatreds etc that can plague some of the older nations .
On the other hand we lack old historical reference points that can enrich culture in so many ways .....so from my point of view , I see value in all .....there are just differences ! |

I like the old and the new. I have lived in the USA all of my life, my husband lived in Egypt all of his life, that makes it so interesting for both of us. We travel back and forth a lot! I love USA and Egypt equally, just differently. |

Well I like the US because it is such a big country and every state is like a country on its on.. even when you are in a certain state such as Louisiana it will be so different from the southern part the northern part the cities.. basically you can meet a person from every country hear every language eat every kind of food.. basically see or do anything or meet anyone you would anywhere in the world :) I also love these other countries for the history such as egypt I just think wow...when the thought of the pyramids just enter my mind.. but I would always choose to live in the US over any country :) |

I really don't like to think of a country by it's architecture alone.... Although I have done in depth studies of buildings in countries I've lived in, I am affected most by the people I encounter.
You can have stunning buildings and have awefull acting people...what's the gain? Or, you can have awefull buildings and have great acting people! |

Hi.. I live in mexico.. mexico has many monuments from different times.. from prehistoric times.. to the modern times.. I love my country because it's Old.. I think the case of USA.. it's old as well but the old things didnt survive like in mexico or the rest of countries like in europe, egypt and the rest of the middle east.. in those countries we can find monuments from different moments of their history.. lebanon has monuments from the roman, greek to the islamic empires.. |
