For me, winter is a little bit different... I live in Serbia (Balkans) and our winters are much more harsh and colder than yours. But, on the other hand, we have snow each year (though it's been only a couple of days a year for quite some time), which is nice and romantic...

Anyway, I prefer summer nights and summer in general. I adore warm - or even hot - weather. Can you imagine that I never use air-condition? Not even in Turkey or Tunisia during the summer or Egypt in October? I also adore sea & sun & send. But here again, I like sea to be warm and if it's warm enough (like it was particularly in Alanya, Turkey in July and Hammamet, Tunisia in August), I can swim even after dusk. I still remeber night swimming in Alanya, there is a castle on the cliff there and it is decorated with so many lights, so it looks gorgeus. I was in the sea around 10 or even 11 p.m. and it was wonderful. I still remember the moon on the sky and the reflection of it on the water...

Also, I like parties and clubs on open air at summer nights. Alanya is the number one about this, they have great open clubs, on several floors, so if you go to the last floor, you will enjoy a spectecular view of the harbour (where their best clubs are) while listening to music and dancing, which is a great passion of mine...

And you can just take a walk... I enjoyed very much walking down the seafront in Marmaris, Turkey... And down the seafront in Yasmin Hammamet. I also had a great time in The Old Town of Rhodes, Greece, and in the center of Kusadasi, Turkey, among all those restaurants and cafes...

I still remember coming to Hurghada in October. In my country it was already a pretty bad wheather, something like your winter, maybe even worse. We came to Hurghada in the middle of the night and as soon as I stepped out of the plane and felt a warm air, I was sooo happy. It was 25 degrees, I found out later. Those 25 degrees were just enough to make me feel great that moment...

Among my brightest and dearest memories from my hometown are those of summer nights when I was in high school. We had summer break from school and that meant we could go out every night (during the school year we would go out late at night only on weekends). At that time we were going out pretty late, around midnight. There was one particular cafe with dance music... We would spend the whole night there dancing. The place used to be very crowded, actually over-crowded until, say, 4 a.m. when people would start going home. At dawn they would play some slow music and there would be much less people and the atmosphere would be somehow cool and relaxed... I adore dancing, but for some reason I particularly loved those mornings. Finally, we would go home and I still remember me and one of my best friends of that time, who was also my neighbor, standing in front of my door still having something to talk about...

Then I moved to Belgrade, the capital, to enter the university... It was nine years ago. Belgrade doesn't have a sea, but she has two rivers and many reastaurants and clubs on them... And it's always great fun there! There is also a particular street with lots of cafes that reminds me of the seaside... Then there is one more great place, it is called Kalemegdan. It's a very nice park with Belgrade Fortress in its complex and it overlooks the confluence of The Sava River to The Danube River. It is very well decorated with lights and it's so lovely and romantic at night (even though it's very crowded). There are also some cafes there, one of them being one of my favorites. It has such a great view...

You may be out of yr mood but i am still in it and will be for long.

You left out a lot from yr description, i am totally a winter person, i love the feeling of the wind on my ice cold cheeks when walking all alone in the streets, the way i dig my hands deep in my pocket in a desperate attempt to keep them warm, the way i hug myself and keep on walking under those dim lights, it is one of the rare moments in my life that i truly feel alive.

Even at home, hearing the wind outside or the rain pounding on my window, they way i try to curl up in my bed under the covers with a hot cup of coco, enjoying every hot sip going down my throat and sending those warm vibrant feelings. Being lazy in the mornings and refusing to get up from my warm bed to go and start another beautiful cold day. OMG, i missed that last year but not this one, i am coming to Egypt soon and i ll get to fill up on those wonderful feelings.

About me, I'm a summer and travel person. Why get held down with all the heavy clothes? Plus who are we kidding? it almost never rains in Egypt and it never snows.. just the cold dusty gloomy atmosphere..which I dont like very much!

And lets say its one of those rare days and it rains.. next thing you know the streets are full of mud and the cars are all this ugly muddy brown..

Sorry to burst your bubble.. but if you think this weird weather that happens starting december all through till march is winter.. you sir have never seen winter!

i love winter,specially the night as well.and what's more beautiful is a rainy night,grabbing ur coat and talk a long walk,when all ppl are rushing home,u feel that u r alone in the place,that you own the night.
u start to think about good memories,most of my good memories are in winter,the rain just makes am amazing soundtrack for that.
or u start thinking of the future and some how it feels so bright and promising.

OOH I love Amir Diab..and to add to this I would have to agree with you the winter nights are the best......but eventually My boyfriend and I like to get away to a summer destination during the Jan months ..after awhile we get depressed and need some sun!!

hell NO, i'm a summer night person and i hate winter nights and i hate wearing heavy clothes n feeling cold, it gets me depressed...although i like the rain so much, and wt gets me to the best feeling the most is having rain during the summer...i spent it once in my lifetime when i was in turkey, it was in August and it was raining and believe me it was amazing :)

i love summer clothes, summer nights indoors or outdoors.
wniter has nails , it clutches us no matter what we wear , we shiver and feel helpless.
in summer, we go to to summer resorts, sit in the sun by the beach, or in a cafeteria where we drink long glasses of lemonade or short glasses of tea.
summer clothes are fun. they are light and colorful.
winter clothes are heavy and clumsy , make us feel heavy ant threatened.

As i am student i prefere summer nights of course when we can spend the whole night outside walking 3ala elcornish and eating icecream hehehe
sometimes we go to the club (which it also views to the sea) and i play football with my young sisiter lol
while in winter i spend the nights studying (in rare ocassions hehehe) but always in home we dont go out alot in winter:(
