You can delete your answers!!!??? Oh man that would have sure come in handy one time when I just totally went off on this asker calling them stupid and immature and think I even said "Dude, you sound like a freakin' twelve year old girl" and then I went and checked their profile...
yes, oh I almost died. it was this cute innocent little 12 year old girl and it was her first time oh, I felt like such a #@$^ heel I could have just %$&$#'d myself. Gosh I still just wanna #$@^%& when I think about it. If I had known I would have deleted that answer faster than you can say "numbsain is a numbnuts". |

When the first time I posted a question and couldn't see it at that time, I posted it again then discovered it's duplicated. At that time I preferred to delete it better than it'll be boring for answerers.
I add to my answers and make it clear that I added. Also some times Yahoo server is quite busy and the spelling check can't work, so I come back later and spell check my answer and correct it without leaving any notice.
If you post a question and you didn't get any answer for some time, Yahoo will delete it and give you back the points. The problem is sometimes you post it in a wrong category and you have only one irrelevant answer !!
Edit : For example now I found I didn't answer you clearly and I will add but not delete the old answer. No you better not delete your answers as possible and still you can add. The only case you may delete your answer if you were causing someone very sad or misunderstand you very much. |

yeah, i realized this about you.................many times i return to the question i've answered , i don't find yours :D
actually, it's not a big problem to answer a wrong answer that you misunderstood...............it won't affect your personality :D
in the readers' eyes.
or even when i get thumbs down, neither affect me..........we all have different viewpoints, what's wrong with this??

Well, I have deleted my answers before, but not usually...it's only been a couple of times when maybe I misunderstood the question or something. |

Anytime I see that I have mis-read a question, and obviously answered it incorrectly, I delete my answer. Thw two points I would have gained by keeping it isn't worth leading the questioner astray. |

No- never, but there are some people on here who seem to object to my answers & unjustifiably report me & then decide it is a good idea to send a VERBAL PORN e.mail - who would do such a thing? REDWINE that is who,& all because i printed a justified remark about her juvenile comments to little egyptian princess - how sad that she should behave in such a shallow way! Please don't be fooled by the innocent face on the avatar she is the devil incarn & has one of the most disgusting minds i have ever encountered in my life! I don't delete my answers but I have edited few of them after realizing that I don't make sense or I sound too cheesy. One of my answers was deleted once and it was Wise Heart who adviced me that this normally happens here "when you hit the nail". Am I the last person to answer again? Oh, man! :-( |

I did it a couple of times before when I realized that I had misunderstood the question and posted an irrelevant answer. However, that has taught me to read the question thoroughly first before answering it.
I also delete my questions sometimes if I receive silly and irrelevant answers or if the question was simply a means to vent, meaning that I was simply ranting and raving without any need for actual answers! It's against the guidelines, I know, but who's perfect?! |
