I can be so nice ...then 2 minutes later and depending on the person, I can be naughty, a joker, a sa7ira, and the same shaitan if necessary..

No. Wait, who said that...me, who? not her, me. what? No. Hey!
Stop voices!
No. I don't.
But I have mood swings. I think people with multiple personalities don't realize they have them. Read Sybil, I'm sure you're not like her. But you may be moody, that's cool, just do things you like doing that make you happy. You'll find balance. |

Since i finished reading the book SYBIL, (not sure if you've read it - but if not, you MUST read it) i started to think that i too am suffering from multi personalities - why do i say so? i know i was diffrent from my peers since i was a child - i could act different around them, i could act different around my parents, then my school mates... and even my boyfriend. i dont know if im just dreamy - or if i was just trying to live life in fantasy world. it amazes me and confuses me at the same time - how i could quickly change from a person to the other in an instant..
if u suffer the same... contact me & tell me your story.. |

Sometimes I actually tend to think so. With people whom I don't know very well I am very reserved and tend to give the impression that I am a cold "good girl" hehehe. Friends who know the real me, however, see the naughty "bad girl" side of me. Also, my mood swings are very extreme. I can be laughing, crying and screaming my head off all in the span of one hour. What can I say ... call the nut house! |

split personaliy is one of the most dangerist mental diseases. see a doctor. it is also called Dissociative identity disorder (DID), as defined by the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR), is a mental illness in which a single person displays multiple distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. The diagnosis requires that at least two personalities routinely take control of the individual's behavior with an associated memory loss that goes beyond normal forgetfulness, and symptoms are not due to substance abuse or medical condition. Earlier versions of the DSM named the condition multiple personality disorder (MPD), which is still used by the ICD-10.
DID is a controversial diagnosis and condition, with much of the literature on DID being generated and published in North America, to the extent that it was regarded as a phenomenon confined to that continent. Even within North American psychiatrists there is a lack of consensus regarding the validity of DID. Practitioners who do accept DID as a valid disorder have produced an extensive amount of literature with some of the more recent papers originating outside North America. Criticism of the diagnosis continues, with Piper and Merskey describing it as a culture bound and often iatrogenic condition which they believe is in decline..Individuals with DID demonstrate a variety of symptoms with wide fluctuations across time; functioning can vary from severe impairment in daily functioning to normal or high abilities. Symptoms can include:
headaches and other body pains
distortion or loss of subjective time
depersonalization
amnesia
depression
Patients may experience an extremely broad array of other symptoms that resemble epilepsy, schizophrenia, anxiety, mood, posttraumatic stress, personality and eating disorders, with frequent mis-diagnoses and ineffective treatment. Patients may experience auditory hallucinations of the various alters conversing, and may be mis-diagnosed as psychotic as a result. Changes in identity, loss of memory and awaking in unexplained locations and situations often leads to chaotic personal lives.
Treatment of DID may attempt to 'reconnect' the identities of the disparate alters into a single functioning identity and/or may be symptomatic to relieve the distressing aspects of the condition and ensure the safety of the individual. Treatment methods may include psychotherapy and medications for comorbid disorders. Some behavior therapists initially use behavioral treatments such only responding to a single identity, and using more traditional therapy once a consistent response is established.
Dont Mistake this with bieng moody! |
