I havent seen my neighbour here in London for 1 year- I only know she is there because she opens her windows and sometimes I hear her music or tv or her talking. My other neighbour we say hello but thats it. My other neighbour I see them but dont say hello

I always have good relations with my neighbours and I have treat them well and help them, it is a must in Islam and other religions also I guess.

People in the city are different than in country (that's everywhere). I lived in Auckland (new Zealand) for one year, never knew any of my neighbours, very strange. I think people are just too busy and stressed.

I then moved to a small town, on the same day we moved, in our neighbour knocked on our door, introduced herself, and asked my wife if she needs help (how sweet), I want to tell you that in two years time I almost knew the whole town.

I just don't like living in cities. I am a country man.

my neighbors are loud to their kids.
"shut up or I'll bust you upside yo head!"

I got another neighbor calls me KOOKREE no matter how often i correct her.. i eventually gave up.

I got a neighbor named Tasha.. i know this cos there is someone screaming: AYY! TASHA! at her window at late hours.

I have another who stole my under ware from the community laundry room.

I have another who comes to my door only speaking Spanish telling a long story of how her husband got fired and then pulls gold jewelry from her shirt and tried to sell it to me.

I don't WANT to know my neighbors...
30 more days.. 30 more days...

I have lived where I am now for six months. Not once have I ever had any communication with my neighbors.

I live in north east Scotland and i have good neighbours. we all chat over the wall and sometimes stand there for ages talking.
some we nip in and out of for coffee now and then. we are never in each others faces all the time but we look out for one anothers houses if we're on holiday or such like.
Of course the smaller the town the better. In my town you can't go down the street without meeing a few people you know.

I have lived where I currently am for only one year. So far, I'm friends with about 10 families, who invite us over and we invite them over and our kids play.

My family moved here from a big city. We lived there for 8 years and only met one neighbor once. Kids weren't outside and nobody seemed interested.

The difference, I believe, is that we live further out in the country now. While I first thought it would drive me mad not to have a grocery store a block away (takes me 20 mins. to drive there now), I think it causes neighbors to rely more on each other for entertainment. In the big city, everybody was busy, busy, busy. Personally, I love the neighborhood feel. We were busy too in the big city, running here and there. I love just being about to go out my front door and chat.

I saw some beautiful countryside in England when I was there.

I have neighbors?

kermit2005
I have just moved into a new house in the countryside. I live in a small cul-de-sac and have been here 2 months. I know the names and jobs of each and every of my neighbours, i often sit out front and have a natter across gardens and one neighbour actually called my work the other day to let me know i had just had a parcel delivered lol. i am roughly 20yrs younger than ALL of my neighbours and they are all the friendliest people i have ever met! I am proud to now have these people as my new friends!

Yes I do speack to them and see them at least in a weekly basis. I have very good relations with many of them.

I don't like my neighbours at all, they are very noisy, nosy, & rude people, i can hear them screaming at their kids & calling them bad names (although we live in a good neighbourhood),they run very loud music as well.
If i run into any of my neighbours in the elevator, i don't open any talk, just "Hi" & that's it.
Only the people in the 2nd floor are nice respectful people.
I wish i had more good neighbours to be friend with

YES... at least the neighbors I have for the 2 houses I own in the U.S., mostly because I only live in them for 2 or 3 months each year and spend the other 7 months each year on my boat in Antigua... so I'm not around enough to really irritate the neighbors... or for them to irritate me.

In Egypt, yes..... i have good and sometimes great relations with my neighbors. But not here in Abu Dhabi.... i don't even know if i have neighbors on the same floor or not apart from the sound of a crying baby or some music... the flats could be empty for all i know.

I have made friends with a couple other Egyptian families in my building but different floors....

deedee41
yea, we get along pretty good with our neighbors.

Dan
Yes i have great friendly neighbours that say hello all the time, bakes me cakes and mows my front lawn but it dosent matter as long as they treat you with respect and hasn't done anything to intimidate or annoy you.
