Well that is one of the main reasons why apartheid lasted so long. One of the main reasons why there are still wars in the world. Parents pass down their dogmatic attitudes, beliefs and disrespect for other cultures and religions. It sounds harsh and is never mentioned, but the very first and strongest form of propaganda we are exposed to in our lives, normally comes from home and our own parents. |

No , never , i dont consider myself religious but more spiritual (dont know if that makes sense) anyway my religion teaches to be tolerant towards the beliefs of others and doesnt say that "this" is the only "right" religion , etc...i will teach my daughter "morals" rather than a specific religion and she is free to choose what she wants to do.... |

No but I am their mother and a Christian, so I will tell them that other religions are wrong and only the Christian faith is the correct faith. Sorry but that is the way it is with me. |

NOPE NEVER....
All religions are a menifestation of the truth. NEVER JUDGE, I rather educate my child to know more about other religions and for them to see the fine line that exist between all of them - COMPASION. |

In the UK there is a move underway on the part of Iqbal Sacranie, of the mainstream Muslim Council of Britain, to create a new law against incitement of religious hatred because any "defamation of the character of the prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him)" is a "direct insult and abuse of the Muslim community". But opponents of the proposal say that although well intentioned, stopping the right to criticise other religions would end centuries of tolerance and could instead fuel tensions between religious groups rather than ease them.
According to Muslim law, believers who reject or insult Islam have no rights. Apostasy is punishable by death. In Iran, Saudi Arabia and Sudan, death is the penalty for those who convert from Islam to Christianity. In Pakistan, the blasphemy law prescribes death for anyone who, even accidentally, defiles the name of Mohammed. In a religion which, unlike Christianity, has no idea of a God who himself suffers humiliation, all insult must be avenged if the honour of God is to be upheld.
Now that is what I call intolerance. |

I don't have kids and I am not married.
And I am not religious either.
I must admit I do mock Christianity a lot but I would not pass that on to my kids.
You must be a good parent keep it up don't resorted to brainwashing your kids like Lise K.
And don't attack other religions i.e.
once you say Jews are wrong then respect goes out the window for Jews.
Alf Garnett thinks that we can't look for verses in the bible that expose flaws in Christianity.
We can but this is not about that its about telerance and respect for one another and he is too duft to see that lets not reduce ourselves to his standards.

Since I like (and learning about them) other people's traditions and customs etc. I'll teach my kids to be respectful of them.
I actually agree with Ayiza...for the most part. |

my friends parents taught her to judge everyone especially religion, and people get annoyed talking to her. sometimes they try not to realise, but after about two years of knowing her it plays out and people start to realise how annoying she really is! |

I would want my child to share my religious beliefs and therefore will teach him or her as such.
But I will not degrade other's religions/beliefs in doing so. Chances are good my religion states love and accept others. So how religious can I be if I bash others?
If my child decides to accept a different faith or religion, then I hope they do so with an educated choice. Even if that means me showing them the different religions. |

I personally do not believe in any of the organised religions of the world and as long as other people's religious believes do not infringe on my cultural believes and norms, they can do whatever they want or believe in whatever they want. |

No, I do not believe in brainwashing my children. I have pointed out the differences in the main religions, and my daughters are aware that followers of certain religions do not have much respect for women. But, essentially it is up to them to form their own opinions. The daily global events will inform anyone which religions are credible or not. |

It's a big NO! Religions/beliefs are individualized. No one can blame others for their belief. Besides, mocking at other beliefs/religions is one way of disrespecting fellowmen. Would you allow also those people to mock at you when you seem different among them? it's actually a vice versa as you can see. No one wants to be mocked by others. |

Yes I teach my childrn and they learn on thier own to mock all rigid christian beliefs because they try to impose their values on others. |
