Barrack Obama is a Christian. Meanwhile, his stepfather was a nominal Muslim. Moreover, the United States is a secular country. |

No,absolutely not; he has given many speeches, one of which I downloaded,in which he passionately endorses zionism and the idea of regime change in iran. The only reason he favors withdrawal of U.S. troops from iraq is to free them up for an attack on Iran. He's a rabid zionist. He's being trotted around to jewish groups by Rep. Wexler from Florida,a close ally. |

He was one of the first to say he'd bomb bases in Pakistan if the Pakis don't cooperate. Before McCain or Clinton.
Are his muslim roots stronger than Bush's ties to Saudi royal family? |

Who cares what religion the guy is, people get over it, to be the President of America has nothing to do with God, it has to do with how much you know about politics!!! |

Let's hope he does. And for the record, Obama isn't a Muslim. He was schooled in Indonesia, which is a Muslim country. Obama is one of those baptists. |

He's a blazing zionist and so is Hillary and so is Big Jim McCain. So much for what's left of our electoral process now that jews have no influence with the media and AIPAC wouldn't loan two cents to the candidate of their choice. |

I doubt it, but it's quite possible. People tend to revert back to their earlier beliefs, and he did go to a muslim school. |

There are two causes. The Arab cause and The Islamic or Muslim cause. I think it all depends on the advisors he chooses. If he picks defense and military people who are weak and anti-war, he might mistakenly cozy up to someone or something that is dangerous. He has ancestoral lineage that is Muslim, but not real experiental upbringing. I think he has a lot to learn. He reminds me a lot of JFK :young, inspirational, charismatic and prone to foreign policy errors. |

Don't let that fool you, he denounced that part of his life.
I understand his mother was born Jewish. No one knows what religion she practices today.
Obama describes his mother as "one of the most spiritual and kindest people I've ever known," but with a "healthy skepticism of organized religion". ...
I predict he will be an Israel supporter> |

well we used to have a saying when I was younger that went something like this: "you can take the boy out of the farm but you can't take the farm out of the boy" meaning we all sooner or later resort to our roots .... |

since 1960 and after Kennedy assassination,USA had a policy that never changes which is protect the existence of isreal and keep isreal more advanced than the Arabs in every aspect .
in 1996,i think, there is a treaty between usa and isreal declred that both of them will cooperate in the military and the economical field and exchange information in every aspects of intelligence.
so i guess neither Obama nor any one can change that. |

Bama attends an all black church with locked doors and Muslim ties. Raised in Indonesia he learned Islam from the people around him.
Zionist I have never heard him called a Zionist before. Only the ignorant would state that. Muslim sympathizer? Yes, within his limitations.
President? Not qualified, and it's easy to see. |

In the wake of torturing Muslims without evidence including many innocents I think pretty much anyone with a brain and heart sympathizes with the 'arab cause', which is not being killed off by the west via military conflict and economic repression. Obviously we want oil to be as cheap as possible for as long as possible regardless of supply.
I think you refer to the arab cause in your mind as terrorism.
So, obviously no Obama will not support terrorism even half as much as Bush has. But, honestly most US foreign policy supports terrorism. It's doesn't usually try to, but that tends to be the result of oppressing people for decades.
You have to realize most arabs are pretty cool. They are very humble, minimalistic culture and the ones I've met are quite smart. They do have strong religious beliefs and culture that rely on religion, especially as a means to govern will always in my mind be more prone to violence.
I think when you combine law and religion you create the opportunity for people to take the law into their own hand in the name of god. It happens here still even with the illusion of separation of church and state, but low income, low education and high religion are a recipe for chaos and violence. It's the fact that their law is based on god and their very poor that they resort to terrorism more easily than other cultures. The way I see it, the West repressed them, especially with the creation of Israel. They can't fight back with modern military means and be effective. So, this urban guerrilla warfare is their best bet and we don't like fighting that kind of war, so we call it terrorism as often as possible. It's more like the US Generals are terrified of fighting a hit and run war where the enemies disappear into the public at will. That's exactly the same way we fought the British, minus suicide bombers.
Unfortunately they take no horror in using the chaos the US has brought to their nation as an opportunity to kill each other. I think this is something they have to work out themselves before democracy can be instated.
Someone had to eventually tear down that wall of Saddam's oppressive torture driven nation, setup by the CIA and JFK administration. This, civil war, should have be the obvious outcome.
By the rules of war however we are responsible for all the death caused by the removal of Saddam. It's kind of sucks, you're obligated to leave a tyrant in power or wave your banner of freedom drenched in blood. It means occupations needs to be much more planned and much more of a war in the minds of the people.
Also we would have avoided much of this by re-using most of Saddam's existing security forces instead of removing them all and starting from scratch. Much of the problem is simply Iraq doesn't have a strong enough police force to just quell street violence, secondly are the tactical hits planned by insurgents and sometimes terrorists. Those are hard to stop, but the first step is an active police force on the streets and full detective work to use the public to track down insurgents. This is really just organized crime run wild.
In a lot of ways, the public will be making a mistake to withdraw before the nation is stable. I think even Obama would adjust his plans to fit stability vs the public's misinformed demands. Though I'm all for the end of oil and the end of US interest in the middle east. However, what oil we don't buy our competition will. In many ways the high oil prices serve American interests abroad. The public of course is oblivious to any such evil long term plans of competition through consumption. Perhaps that's why bush said we must increase consumption. Our wealth allows us to afford higher prices than most any other nation and especially the developing ones we view as threats like China and India. So in many ways, gas prices are high because we consume so much more than any other nation and can afford it. The vast inefficiency of the internal combustion engine is a major problem also only converting about 20% of the fuels potential into useful energy. If we doubled efficiency that price of oil could drop or we'd have nearly twice as much and thats only at 40% efficiency.
Congress and most Americans are just stupid and have no vision or plan for the future. We're just like ahh were American's everything will just work out, but someday it won't and we will no longer be the worlds superpower. Worse yet is without dominating military force above all others we may be held accountable for our past oppressions.
The US needs to apologize for decades of unjust foreign policy against Arab and Persians first. Jews and Arabs lived in relative harmony before we arrogantly created Israel for the jews. I might even support the forced relocation of Israel as a means to repair what the UN did.
At the very least they should be forced to open their borders or be found in violation of the UN charter preventing nuclear weapons in the Middle East. Doing that would make GREAT inroads with Arabs and enforce international law... for once. It's very hard to make a stand against Iran nuclear power with Israel in violation of the UN Charter. Their attacks on Palestine are also illegal.
It's really not the Arabs starting any of these conflicts.
It's us treating them like the have 1/3 the rights we do, even in their own country and while demanding their oil.
Guess what, a white mans life isn't worth more than an Arabs. That's equality under the law and that's equality under god. A Christians life is not worth more than a Muslims. Life has equal value under any just law or code of ethics. We can still hold national interests first, but we can't enable the democracic backed murder of 3 million Arabs in retaliation to a tiny group of radicals killing 3000 innocents and then find ourselves to be the righteous ones.
This inability for the American public to see that we can't kill 1000 Arabs for every American killed and not fuel terrorism is pathetic. If merely only for the sake of not fueling terrorism, we must take more just means of enforcing our foreign policy. Likely one that uses a greater span of time to make change happen slower, such as fiscal incentive. Or just stay out of people business. We won't get much blame for doing nothing, but we'll get all the blame for turning Iraq into a war zone.
Cutting ties with Israel is the single biggest move we could make to reduce terrorism and I fully support it. What we've done over the decades to the Arabs is far worse than any single event of terrorism. To them, we are the terrorists and rightfully so, we've killed 1000 times more of them over the years. |

No I don't think that Obama will let his roots get in the way of his plans. I've been reading his reports and opinions on a lot of things and Obama doesn't sound like he's planning on giving muslims anything they don't deserve (meaning anything other than what a citizen of the United States get). But, if you still think he might you can go to his website and ask him or read his website. |
