Yes thats true we are in 2008, by sadly the massacred children and babies are Arabs, if those were Europeans or Americans or even Israelis then its terrorism and its genocides and some will call it holocaust!

The death of an innocent person is a tragedy. Humanity ought to know no bound. I have never lived among the Gazans. But, I have empathy for them. These ordinary citizens should not have suffered for the actions of some militants who knows no peace. Sadly, this was what they got for living with militants who 'bravely' hide behind their own civilians, using them as human shields, while keep attacking Israeli cities. UN peace keeping force presence like United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is badly needed to end this crisis.

Well... a lot of innocent children, women, civilians are dying in Gaza because of Hamas. They shoot their missiles out into Israel from places where it's common for those people to be - they are just cowards, hiding behind the innocent so they can take them down with them. It's sick. If you want to shoot rockets into Israel, OK whatever, but don't hide behind the innocent!!

But anyways... it's too many deaths. One death is too many, whether it's an Israeli or Palestinian death. I am pro-Israel and I'm also pro-Palestine. We need to get it together and work this out. But BOMBING FOR PEACE? That is a solution that will surely never work.

-Ok, I've been following the news and I haven't encountered a single article citing the number of infants killed to be 20. Not everyone under 18 is an infant.
-People are talking about it, the whole media thing
-War is not about "fair". It's not 'oh, you killed 10 people, so we get to kill 10 people', it's about defending the country from enemies.

why do you think it's ok to shoot rockets onto israel and then when israel protects itself you say it's not fair- sderot has been under attack 8 years we are fed up from waiting till hamas comes to a conclusion it's wrong, so now israel is targeting hamas b/c hamas didn't learn it is not targeting innocent civilians on purpose like hamas did. and israel has the right to defend itself just like the UK and France and china and russia have.

edit: the only good thing that can come out of this is that israel and the palestinians realize that peace is neccesary. although israel has tried many times to have peace it may have finally a partner hopefully after these fights stop

Democratically elected Hamas has had two years to do something CONSTRUCTIVE for the palestinian people. But they ran on a platform which called for violence, invested in guns instead of their own people and are now just following their own agenda.Hamas promised violence against Israel and now have it. When you set up rocket launchers in crowded neighborhoods what does that say about hamas?

When you do and lose you don't use children as weapons, Israel has lost plenty of children but never used their bodys.

Israel didnt say the "including babies,women,old men,homes,schools" part, but in my opinion if Hamas does not stop bad things will happen.

First of all, I don't know what you are reading or where, but 20 babies DID NOT DIE!!!

Every single day, without exception, Israeli men, women & children, all civilians, living in Sderot & now Ashkelon, hear a siren. From that point, they have 15 seconds to get to a shelter, to escape from incoming rocket attacks. The rockets are arriving with increasing regularity - at the rate of one every hour during daylight.
Innocent Israeli children are suffering from shock & trauma. Many residents would like to leave, but as most are impoverished, cannot afford to do so.
There is currently no viable missile interception system developed to deal with these attacks, so the Israel Defence Force has been trying to eliminate the rocket launchers, one at a time.
The problem is, after a rocket has been launched, Hamas pays teenagers to move the launchers before the IDF can destroy them (the launchers). The 'children' (yes, I've also heard 'babies' mentioned as victims in Gaza), are teenaged terrorists in training. So, the IDF takes out the rocket launchers, to try to save Israeli lives, and those hiding the launchers get hit.
Though why so many people outside Gaza are 'up in arms' about the deaths, I really don't know. I read an interview with a Hamas terrorist, just last week, who said that he was happy that a 10th member of his family had lost his life to Israel! Why? Because, the most 'noble' way to die under Sharia Law, is a martyr's death. These young men WANT to die, so that they will ascend to heaven, and be rewarded with their prize - 72 virgins...............

Another point to ponder; should all the Jewish Israeli residents of leave, what then? Let's assume, we all had some place to go - maybe England, or France or the USA. Anywhere. What happens next? Hamas terrorists come pouring into Tel Aviv, & do what, exactly? When Israel withdrew from Gaza, Jewish philanthropists paid the outgoing population to leave behind the infrastructure they had created, such as greenhouse, irrigation systems, roads, street lighting, factories etc. These were given to the people of Gaza to start to make a living. What did they do? They tore out the street lights to sell the component parts, and use the greenhouses to tunnel underneath into Egypt, to smuggle back rockets and guns.
What would they do, then, with the offices of Microsoft and Cisco and Teva Pharmaceuticals? Would they actually be able to run Hewlett Packard, Osem and the TASE (Tel Aviv Stock Market)?
When the Gazans broke into Egypt, a number were interviewed, and commented on how much better the roads were in Gaza than in Egypt - why? Because Israel built them!

After the 1968 war in which Israel was simultaneously attacked by its neighbours, it acquired additional land from Egypt and Jordan containing many Palestinian refugees from 1948 (again many Palestinians who remained in their homes in 1948 and didn't leave just became Israeli citizens, as are their descendants to this day--not all "Palestinians" are the same).

The Palestinians had the opportunity to create their own nation post WWI. Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, and other former regions of the Ottoman Empire successfully lobbied England/ the League of Nations to recognize their sovereignty. Palestine was given the option of being their own nation or joining Syria and/or Lebanon in some fashion but the Palestinian leaders could not come to an agreement.

There is now a call for Israel to "return to the 1967 borders"; borders which were never recognised by either the Arab League, or the PLO. At the 1968 Arab League meeting in Sudan, all participants declared no to negotiation with, recognition of or Peace, with Israel. There was terrorism, and conflict prior to 1967, and prior to 1948, so what has changed in the Arab world to suggest that the current 'Land for Peace' initiative will make any difference?

Fatah chief and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's PA television has been broadcasting on a daily basis for several months, a hate-filled music video calling for the ethnic cleansing of the Jewish people from Israel, consistent with other Arabic-language hate messages currently being disseminated.
