"don't judge me..... it could be you ...in another life, in another set of circumstances" A quote from a song I heard about that profession.
I'd say there are more victims in that profession than criminals. |

"Halal is known and Forbidden is known too"
"الØÙ„ال بين Ùˆ الØرام بين"
it's not offensive at all ya Farah, it's a reality that we're living nowadays, in which morals , religion and traditions are really disregarded and nothing is taken serious !! :-(
every action done now, even those forbidden ones, you'll find many justifications for this action !!! |

They can be both, or neither...In third world places like Thailand, most do it to survive...In Japan, it's for money...In the US many of them are druggies...It will vary from woman to woman... |

A bit of both I would say. I mean legally they are criminals but if you consider the circumstances that had them go into the business then quite a few of them are victims as well. |

In third world countries, they are mostly victims. |

Technically they are criminals, because prostitution is against the law.
In this society, when we speak of prostitutes most people think of the gals on the stroll rather than high-priced call girls. The women on the street are definitely victims--of their pimps, of their johns, of the despair of their lives. |

i may say both..
but i see them most as criminals..many ppl go through the same circumstances but they don't end up being prostitutes...so it's a matter of choice,no one has forced them to do anything...except when they are young and forced by their parents or sth...this is the case i might say they are victims |

VICTIMS.
they have also to judge and punish males at the first places, since these females has found nothing else to make them earn their living except to satisfy eager males' instincts.
and people act as if the prostitute's job includes only her.and no other men.
what an unfair society.
may Allah guide us all to the right way. |

I see some as victims and I think that others just choose to do it. I know it's illegal here in the U.S., but I don't see it as criminal. I don't really know why. |

Of course CRIMINALS. Thousands of girls and women live in poverty and other bad conditions but don't do this. Being poor is just a fake reason for a woman who doesn't want to work honestly. |

I totally agree with Dune on this, whose to say what circumstances made them follow that path. I remember the song & its stuck in my mind too. |

un ethical ,they sell themselves for materialistic things and spread diseases ,if they are forced into it they are victims of course ,but i dont see any slavery in the world now ,its not a crime ,i call them walking stds (sexually transmitted diseases)so if u got some senses in your brain why would u come near them |

not that or this,,,may be economical situation push some one to do this,,,but in past was arranged having licens, and healthy issurance...it is better thing for some peoplescan not marry for some causes,,,,and would prevent many criminals done by some men for honest or small girls destroying thir life or families as we read in news... |

Both
unless you know the person , it is hard to say , I don't know a prostitute , nor have I ever talked to one , so there must be a 100 reasons WHY they would bring shame on them self and their body ----maybe , drugs , control from a man , greed , lazy , maybe they have kids to support and a small job can not support them ? mental problems from past ,
I guess I could go ON , and ON about it . but we can't judge a person unless we walk in their shoes . |

I'm a Male and I see Prostitutes, "the oldest profession", as victims first. STDs are no joke and Love, true love is just great and needs for all to find. "I be what I be", old enough to learn from life's experiences... Surly my posts have "Red hot Fire" as I do my best to spread wisdom for all to see, that I do. |

victims , no women would ever choose to be a prostitute , so they are forced at least at first then the hostility of the society push them further and further till they have no way back or even no way out . |

neither. it should be legalized. i'm a man. |

in my opinion they are very lazy !!!...i mean someone who does a bad thing is a lazy person!....we all know that being good and decent requires a huge effort!....it's not easy to be good..it's not easy to find a great job...it's not easy to follow the rules....some people tend to find the easy ways which lead to destruction...same goes for prostitutes!...they would have found a better job if they wanted to!..and i don't buy that "forced " bla..bla...talk!....they could have fought to be good!..so why didn't they???....because they love what their doing..that's why!!!
and don't forget that those kind of women have no sense of morals ....they weren't raised properly....they have many social problems!.....they were taught to sell themselves ..because life is all about money and pleasure to them nothing else!!!......i wouldn't say their victims and i wouldn't say their criminals.....the best word would be "disgraceful"!!
~thank you~ =) |

I think that there`s nothing to justify practicing prostitution because there is always a decent job or something else to do , I mean it can`t even be an option.
have a nice day
