I think every one of us, or most of us , always think that he have the right opinion and the rest are wrong.
I think we must first listen to others opinion b4 we talk and vilify them.
Hey Milo , relax man, you are soo afraid of your illusions
But If Pinky was telling me her political beliefs, I would never never never vilify her :) |

Well, some do, some don't. It does not matter as long as you respect each other opinions.
I have friends all over the world and of course they have different opinions on political stuff depending where they are coming from, their backgrounds and their medias.
But so far, we are able to exchange different beliefs without disrespecting each other and that is the most importing thing.
Take care! |

In my country everybody is very passionate about politics and like to discuss about it.
Almost all my friends are from different party than me, so.....we already have a non talked or written deal about not talk of politic when are together.
Our friendship is more important than politic and politicians.
The most we allow each others is some joke about that subject....and that's enough. |

Some of them but not all. Many don't know how to discuss and not get pi**ed because our opinions differ. The ones I do talk with about it and other touchy subjects respect my opinion as I do theirs. No two people can agree on everything and fortunately most of the people I associate with realize this. |

No ! Politics in this country are in your face but conducted on a civilised basis.
That's not to say that debate isn't vigorous but there is no room in our society for absolute extremism. Milo , for all that he is a stirring s.o.b , has a point regarding the linking of religion with politics....they should always be separate because religion is a such a personal thing & by linking it to politics the divide between people groups widens !
It would be nice if we as a group of friends could feel free to discuss these issues without the sarcastic comments that are designed to promote division rather than unity ! |

wel i avoid discussing politics with my friends and if i did i make sure that they are mature enough to discuss such things without fighting, once i hung up on my friend because of politics but it was because she used to lie all the time about her political views,i dont care if some one did not like what i like but just dont lie about it |

nope cuz most of em don't know or care much about politics |

Never talk politics or religion with your friends. |

monti h

yes. I live in south Florida and most of the people that live here are from another country, and I respect everyone for that, but when it comes to politics, they always think they are right and they always think that they know more then me. They might or they might not, but I cant stand it. I am not scarerd to talk to anyone about politics, because if the conversation becomes heated, then that means it good. I look at it this way, if someone wants to vilify me for a political comment or conversation, then that shows me they are narrow minded or dont really know to much about politics |

No. My friends either share the same beliefs or respect me enough to know that I can back up whatever I believe with solid reasoning and facts. |

I have actually found several people who are working for peace and believing in it, just as I am, on this site. I do get the occasional comments about someone having to step outside to vomit, I do not understand how peace can make someone ill, but I am please with the majority of those who are level headed enough to speak decently, and get their point across with respect. The people who do this are not my friends, although they are Jews like me. It is confusing, I know, but I have some support, and that is better than not having any. |

No. Most of my friends have the same political beliefs as me. |

Ofcourse, especially when you seem brainwashed and you support terrorist groups like hezbo zibbo, what do you expect? It is not normal to be supportive of a terror group. You need help..maybe a box of Tide will do the trick .
Kate, i talk politics, religion and all with my friends and very normal, no fighting no hating and no blood drawn, the beauty of Democracy. However, when it comes to politics, Do not mix religion with politics, and this is exactly what the politicians in lebanon do, Religion and State do not mix period!! |
