Sometimes ! Usually if I've been on answers till I go to bed my brain is too active for me to be able to shut down.
Also , if there is a lot going on at the time I quite often find that I'm trying to solve problems in my head & then it's difficult to shut down ! Oh for a peaceful life !
If I hit the sack when I'm tired then usually I'm off in dreamland very quickly ....may not stay there long but that's another story .lol |

i used to have this problem in the past (well not long past am still 14), but this problem stopped from around 1 or 2 years, I used to wake all nigh without being able to sleep, but now when i lay in the bed i imagine and dream and then i sleep without feeling!!
What u have to do:
1)Bring a medicine called tuplixile, take one spoon and then u'll feel sleepy or take baby cal!
2)try to hug a pillow and dont look at the walls or doors coz this will distract u
3)forget everything
4)imagine urself in a happy place
5)go to bed when u feel sleepy not before
6)dont close ur eyes and challenge urself that u can sleep, just try to relaxxxxxxxxx
7)fix ur bed maybe its broken and u dont know
8)count from 100 to 0 while relaxing.. |

Sometimes they do and it can very disturbing, I get up early and am grumpy if I don't get my sleep, so sitting up all night staring at the ceiling drives me mad. I also do not even bother getting on the computer because I know its the worst thing to do if your trying to go to sleep. So I read, watch tv, make a snack or just lay curled up with my thoughts racing. |

haha no if I'm sleepy I'll go right to sleep. If I'm not tired at all but in bed, I find myself thinking a lot, sometimes thinking about why the hell I'm thinking at this hour lol. |

Yes they do lol, but I think it is harder for females to shut their brains off than for males. Also, that could be linked to bipolar disorder, you should talk to your doctor about it. |

No.
But if I wake up in the middle of the night, there my thoughts start to turn in my head and keep me up one or two hours before I fall asleep again... |

Not so much now, but I used to a lot. There are some techniques for dealing with it. Here are some ideas:
1. count sheep.
2. count your breaths.
3. put your palms over your eyes and think of something black.
4. do relaxing activities during the hour before bedtime, such as reading, going for a short walk, taking a bath, etc.
Don't worry about not getting sleep. As long as you lie there with your eyes closed you are getting rest, so it's ok. No worries.
I hope this is helpful.
Best wishes. |
