Depends you mean american support militarly or American doantions of money and weapons.

Well Israel could be in quite a hole if lets say Israel didnt have American support Militarly.

The Arab Armies can always get better and with no one to help Israel one correctly aimed warhead can spell the end of Israel.

If you mean in terms of money then i guess its not really neccesarry to Israel's existence maybe the money and free weapons is just a catylust.

So to answer your question israel needs the American military alliance to preserve its existence but the free money and weapons Israel could do with out and still be ok.

Yes it does both economically and politically.

Economic reason: The US aid to Israel is about $3 billion a year, that's about $8 million per day. Stop that aid and Israel will face some SERIOUS economic problems.

Political reason: Despite its enormous stockpiles of nuclear weapons and very advanced armed forces, Israel still does need the political backing of the United States, in order to continue to occupy Palestinian land and commit what are obviously war crimes. As long as the hand of America is on Israel's back, Israel can freehandedly do what it wants in Palestine and the Middle East at large.

If US got weak (for example), Israel will dump US and go to the next Super Power around.

Israel has been dependent on their countries, esp. the U.S. since its inception. Without the weapons, money, training, and other aid zion gets from america, there would be no "israel".

I just hope the US doesn't turn it's back to Israel. The US has a lot of American Jews living there. Israel will survive if the US turn it's back.

yes it does!!!! Israel will be over if not for the US aid and support!!!!! You actually think that without the US Israel is able to support itself!! The US supports them with everything money weapons, food everything!! But the poor palestinians have no one to support them they fight like real soldier unlike Israel!

To survive no. God will see to that. To prosper and have peace yes. We seem to be the only friend you have left.
I have watched since Israel's infancy and God has used America to bolster Israel through much. I am so sorry to see American leadership try to divide the people and the land.
America is not coming out unscratched, we are paying for not backing Israel up. I don't think our relationship is even close to ending or that God is through with either of us yet.

Not really. They are so amazingly powerful.

It didn't for the first 30 years of its existence. If anything it was when Israel started to get aid from the US that it started to decline, mainly because the US steps on there foreign policy.

That is a tough call - those who hate Israel will definately say Israel needs the US to survive. All depends on your bias how you will answer this question.
