yes, what you believe usually has one effect or another in all accpects of your life. but i think religion is wrong. no im not atheist, im christian. see religion is mostly about tradition and stuff. what you believe should be your relationship with God (or whatever you believe) rather than doing all the things that you are soppose to do to be called 'religious' |

Ghanouge , we are all created by God, in His image with a spiritual component which means we are not complete if we are not in relationship with Him.
Religion is mankind's way of trying to connect with this part of our makeup ...
It isn't religion that should define us as it comes of man , not God...it is our own relationship with our Creator God that should define us. |

My religion defines every aspect of my moral life, but it doesn't determine whether I have pizza or a hamburger for dinner, or whether I sleep or study. |

No.
Spirituality defines me, not 'religion.' There is a marked difference. |

yes, I live my religion every day so I'm sure it defines what I do. |

yes, religion defines me.
it is in my mind and heart , so when i think of anything i would do , i ask myself if it is acceptable in my religion.
all the time i want to please God so as to gain access to Paradise.
i follow His laws and rules to be a virtuous person whose soul would rise to Heaven after death.
i always think of reward and punishment. |

I would like to think that it does. |

Defines me as a being with principles.. there are some things I wudn't do because my religion advises me not to; but it doesn't define my personality, affect it to be a better person of course but who I am is who I made myself to be and I wudn't judge other people for their religion, that's the worst thing I have ever witnessed! |

Nope, what defines me are my plastic set of lips, my plastic hair job, my plastic set of eyes and my new brain compliments of plastic surgery. This defines me as a great human being. |

what is the purpose of religion? there has not been a new religion since the bronze age. why do we feel the need to believe in an invisible god with questionable morality when science has better answers than stories such as Noah's Ark. creationists cannot refute the evidence of science. |

Not really.
It does influence my life but also so do other factors. |

Absolutely positively not.
I evolved beyond religion 20 years ago and have grown into a much better person ever since. |

My religion does not define or identify me ... I refuse to be labeled in any way ... and Religion is one of these ways ... whether I show it or relate to it is something else entirely ... I'm convinced with my beliefs and I respect all other belief systems as long as they respect mine ... any person who links my actions to my religion doesn't know me at all ...
Some people put their religion always ahead of them and weigh every thing they do with that scale ... I don't ... I think I can tell what's right and what's wrong even without referring to my creed ... my religion's only purpose is to give me a basic knowledge on God and His creation ... so I live religious experiences with my soul rather than my "everyday life" ... |

Well
only if you let it

its a matter of priority..... |

As a Muslim, I believe Islam not only defines me, it also feels me and considers every aspect of my life, it's the most considerate religion ever. |
