Yes, first thing we are told in North America that it is tax free. Good for shopping. Its on the Persian/Arabian Gulf. Neighbours with Saudi and Oman. Dubai is not a country , it's a city in UAE.(United Arab Emrites) Cheers!

Dubai is a city of United Arab Emirates.Its situated in middle east.its a sandy place but u saw greenery in sandy place if not that see in Dubai.its so much clean and beautiful place .no fear for any thing accept traffic problems .

Yeah, it's where they are building those crazy palm leaf islands. Those are awesome, I saw a special on Discovery Channel about them.

If we know - how can you even ask that ! I have been wanting to go only my whole life!!! I am from the Balkans and a lot of people travel there for shopping and sight seeing so all of want to go and love it there. Of course it is one of the Emirates.

I keep on getting forwards in my mail with pictures of your crazy buldings, a closed ski centre, shopping malls and so on!

So we are amazed by Dubai and how much you guys have accomplished!

I have read about it and seen shows about it. Dubai City seems like a really cool place with all the modernization going on. I would love to visit someday! :-)

its near Saudi Arabia.

it's main source of income is Oil (Petroleum).
though it is a desert like climatic place, people there have converted it next only to paradise.

one more thing. it is one place where you can see western style of hanging out in the whole Arab world.
