unless you know somebody, fastest will never be cheapest. the cheapest way would be by parcel post(your local post office)and can take anywhere from four weeks to four months if they dont lose it so you must get it insured which costs extra. you can't fed ex or ups ground it, it will have to go by air or boat(air more expensive, boat less) depending on what you are sending and how big and heavy it is will factor in your cost. if you are sending a letter try to use air mail and insure it, if its money use western union. if its any type of a package use fed ex or ups call them for rates and they will guide you to a price list

Contact the US Postal Service if you haven't already and see what they charge and they do have a Global Priority for overseas.

Last year l had packages sent to me in Iraq by regular US mail. It was much cheaper than DHL and only took about two weeks. If they could send packages to Iraq they must be able to send them to Egypt.

depends where you're sending it to, when I had some Fed Ex delivery to Ghana they didn't bother even looking up my address in Accra to deliver the package, since they though they'd never find my address on a map. Well Hello, it IS on the map, they didn't bother looking as most roads aren't mapped in Accra, or for that matter even less the whole country or the rest of the continent (Accra is a bit better in mapping than other places for sure). In Accra, giving directions is like, take the second branch road next to the big white church to the right, follow up the hill (there is a big tree) and then third branch to the right. I'm not kidding. So check who is the most reliable parcel delivery company in the country you are delivering to.

Oh the parcel got to me, I just had to go to Fed Ex offices and say hello, what about home delivery, thay said they just call people up. So in Ghana, maybe DHL is better, who knows, ask the person who you're sending it to for advice. If it's a village in Western Sudan, forget Fed Ex, try the tribal guys and truck routes, or maybe the train companies have a deal with someone. In villages, it's the bus driver who takes the mail to the right guy, since he drives up and down bush roads all his life, and knows everyone. Then what you need to do, is send the package to the nearest town where they tell a bus driver to take it to the village and arrange a tip for the driver for the service.

Depends on where you are, where the package is going to, the contents and the size/weight of the package. If this is a serious question, please give more details.
Cargo companies are usually the cheapest. But they usually have minimal weight below which it is not economical to use them.
