Does every Jew in Israel wear a Kippah?

Hello,

At the moment people are not required to wear a kippah but I am starting a campaign to enforce every man, whatever his religion, to wear one - including tourists and businessmen.

It is not required by Israel's law for every every Jew to wear a Kippah. In some parts of the country, like Jerusalem, for example, nearly every Jewish person wears a kippah. In other parts, like Tel Aviv, almost no one wears a kippah.

wearing a kipa is a choice unless you go to a jewish holy place...it is not required by law but some religious people do wear it every day

I don't know if it is require to wear a Kippa in Israel but I would wear it anyways.

its just the same as any western democracy. Why would you think its different? Do they require people to wear crosses in England?

and as a not most Jewish men in Israel do not wear a kippah.

My husband doesn't generally wear one, but had to wear it as a tourist in Israel because we were inundated by people trying to sell us Christian tours.

BTW, we went on several official Israel day tours and found the guides to be outstanding!!!

No.The only Israeli laws that involve religion is the law of return and Israeli nationality law.There is also the Shabbat Revolution which allows secular Jews to handle a certain extinct of work on shabbat.The only thing that will be banned on shabbat would be trading and commence.If broken a person can be sent to court.
