Some argue that the bad caused by the displacement/victimization of the Palestinians by the Jews and the powers that be was negated by the good it did. Namely giving the Jews a homeland.

1-Historical: Claiming to be first nation lived Palestine and before Arabs, which makes no sense because Canaanites were the first ever known tribe lived that land! And Canaan in Arabic language means "Low land".(Not Hebrew language ok!)
Jews or Israelis left Jerusalem while Muslims and Arabs defended it and liberate it from all foreign attacks! I prefer to die in my land than run away and live in Europe or anywhere else and that is the only prove that it is my land (I hope you all get my point)

If they have the right to claim for Palestine (Even if what they say is true) Then Muslims have the right go claim for Spain and Portugal which they ruled for centuries and where ever you go in Spain you can see Muslim sites and old cities are still there! Also Albanians can kick Serbs Bosnians and Croats out of all Balkan because they got and lived there first! And the same goes for many other nations and civilizations, so just imagine what kind of mess this childish thing can create in the world!

The funny thing about the historical part is, that they claim that this land was empty when they came, ignoring all historical facts that shows the great Islamic civilization in Palestine!

yes. israel is israel not palestinian land. anyways israel wasn't officially established until 1947, but it was always the jewish homeland. palestinians are arabic and have a bunch of other countries they can live in. judaism only has one homeland and if i lived in israel and was told i had to move to america i would be disgusted to be told to leave my homeland becuase it's other peoples land.

Israel exists. Zionism is the desire for Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people. to exist in peace alongside her neighbors. There would be no war or bloodshed if attacks against Israel woud stop. It has been as simple as that for two generations.

I hope for the day when the Palestinian people will focus their energy and effort to live in peace alongside Israel in their own efforts to nation building, than to create yet another generation who focus more on nation destroying and promoting strife.

edit: As long as people "thumb down" peace, strife will follow. It doesn't have to be that way.

Shadi, what are you talking about. They don't need to dig to find the Temple, its in the middle of Jerusalem, the Capital city of Israel. Also, didn't divide a Muslim nation, because there never was a unified nation from northern africa to southern asia, that was all muslim, or at all or that matter, so please get your facts straight.

But I do believe Israel, deserves the Land, because there has been constant Jewish population there since its inception. Also, I'm pretty sure Israel, would have let most, of the Palestinians stay anyway, Its not like they force them to convert to Judaism (unlike some Arab Behavior...). Also, Palestinians do have some land, mainly the west bank. And they so fire Qasam rockets into Israel almost everyday, so how can you blame the Israelis?

Also they didn't actually take over the country, because at the time it was created Britain owned the middle east, so it divided the land how it saw fit, and neither Israel or palestine, owned the land at that time.

No I'm not contridicting myslef, Israel deserves the land cause they had it first and where always there, and Britain, had every right to give the land to Israel.

Jewish independence in the Land of Israel lasted for more than 400 years. This is much longer than Americans have enjoyed independence in what has become known as the United States. In fact, if not for foreign conquerors, Israel would be 3,000 years old today.

Palestine was never an exclusively Arab country, although Arabic gradually became the language of most the population after the Muslim invasions of the seventh century. No independent Arab or Palestinian state ever existed in Palestine. When the distinguished Arab-American historian, Princeton University Prof. Philip Hitti, testified against partition before the Anglo-American Committee in 1946, he said: "There is no such thing as 'Palestine' in history, absolutely not."

Prior to partition, Palestinian Arabs did not view themselves as having a separate identity. When the First Congress of Muslim-Christian Associations met in Jerusalem in February 1919 to choose Palestinian representatives for the Paris Peace Conference, the following resolution was adopted:

We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds.

In 1937, a local Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, told the Peel Commission, which ultimately suggested the partition of Palestine: "There is no such country [as Palestine]! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria."

The representative of the Arab Higher Committee to the United Nations submitted a statement to the General Assembly in May 1947 that said "Palestine was part of the Province of Syria" and that, "politically, the Arabs of Palestine were not independent in the sense of forming a separate political entity." A few years later, Ahmed Shuqeiri, later the chairman of the PLO, told the Security Council: "It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria."

Palestinian Arab nationalism is largely a post-World War I phenomenon that did not become a significant political movement until after the 1967 Six-Day War and Israel's capture of the West Bank.
