It does snow in Egypt but not in the cities rain is more likely there but there is snow in the Sinai peninsula there is the white desert and the sand it covered in a light covering of snow.

Sharm during these months is about 15-20 degrees.
And other cities slightly cooler.

I don't think there are any possible challenges touring Egypt in winter the weather is more like the UK summer. I think it's a really nice time to go as you don't have to go and buy summer clothes you can just wear your normal clothes as you won't be to hot i love it during these months i hate the heat during July in Egypt as it's so hot.

some hail may fall in January , but not snow.
there arent any challenges to touring in winter .
the temperatures in December are usually 22 c am and 15 c pm.
it is pleasantly cool in December , so enjoy your trip.

yes it snows in Egypt in some provinces in winter (December-January-Febraury). but it could even still snow in Sinai till March and April.
some snowy cities: Saint Katherine, Nekhel, the Southern Mountains Province in Sinai, some Red Sea mountain ranges. Also sometimes it snows in the northern provinces of Delta such as: (Daqahleya, Damietta, Kafr El Sheikh, Baltim, Behera). and other north coastal cities such as Sidi Barraani. it rarely snows in Alexandria, and hail is rarely known phenomena in Cairo (it could happen). frost happens in Mid Provinces of Sinai and Upper Egypt (Minya and Asyut only), Also frost and frozen water occures in some Oases and always in Mid Sinai.
Night temperatures in winter would go to -14 C in Saint Katherine, -7 Cin Nekhel, -5 in Siwa, -1 in Asuyt and 3 C in Cairo.

No. It hardly ever even rains in the egyptian year!
