I will marry out of my religion/nationality - to me it does not matter. I feel it is the actual person who counts and not the outliers.
When it comes down to it, if the person who you love was to have a life or death situation - would you really be worried about the ethnicity/nationality - or would you be concerned about losing him/her?
Life is just too damn short and we are here only for now - why not enjoy it with who you love and care for vs. fixation on religion/nationality?
It is so hard for me to answer this, as I have been put into this situation and found it so unfair as I had no hang ups about the person, but the person could not get over the religious differences.
I love your question. Very insightful! |

any sane man would accept any ethnicity and/or religion if she is beautiful in his eyes, and i think the same go for women..
I personally, don't mind at all, we all are human beings after all! |

No i don't think it matters at all it should be about the feelings you have for each other. As long as you both respect each others religion, culture etc i don't see the problem.
I am from England and a christian and i am with an Egyptian Muslim we have no problems whats so ever as i really respect his religion and try and learn about it as much as possible to understand his views and i also respect that his culture is different than mine and he respects mine to. |

religion is the clincher for me.. we must share a core value.
ethnicity or nationality? it does not matter as long as both can handle the cultural issues. Why should I be picky for that small thing? Love does not see the difference in geography, why should I? My entire family is racially mixed. |

Religion is the deal maker or breaker. Other than that nationality doesn't matter so much. We just need to 'click', you know?
Though I must say East Asians, Indonesians, Malays etc. aren't really my type because it presents an extreme culture difference... |

It makes it easier and more enjoyable if you have something in common: language, interests, habits but not necessarily nationality and religion |

No, I've dated all nationalities and religions. Most important you have to have things in common or share a connection. This doesn't mean you need to come from a similar background/upbringing. |

WELL...AS A BEGINNING I DO NOT LIKE THE DATING IDEA.............................IT MAKE ME FEEL I AM MORE AMERICAN THAN EGYPTIAN...MAY BE IT IS A REALITY (OR WELL IT IS IN FACT)..BUT IT IS JUST NOT YET PALATABLE TO ME.
AS FOR LOVE, NO BARRIERS THERE DEAR...NO RACE, COUNTRY , RELIGION , SOCIAL STATUS. IF IT IS A REAL ONE, IT JUST PENETRATE TO THE DEPTH OF YOUR HEART WITHOUT EXCUSE. |

Not Me I Have Seen And Interacted With Many People From Different Cultures During My Time In Emirates I've Always Learned To Respect Other Cultures No Matter How Different Or Eccentric So I Would Say I Don't Prefer To Date Other Nationalites Or Religons But It Wouldn't Matter As Long As There Is Mutual Chemistry. |

Although the fact that I already have someone: I would say that if I was still dating, I wouldn't really mind dating someone from another religion or nationality. I don't care what religion says about that, but from my experience, ppl from the same religion or nation, shouldn't necessarily be as open minded as you are. |
