God says there are things that are bad. Even atheists know that there are things that are good and bad, like stealing and killing. I can see how that applies to certain things though like wearing hijab or drinking alcohol.

well there are some things are undeniably bad such as Murder, etc. however for the most part many things are neutral and it is the individual who determines if it is good or bad

This is tricky, it doesn't give always the same meaning in all situations. I like and respect Shakespeare very much and I don't think he meant to take that as rule in life.

its like "right and wrong are entirely subjective concepts"

to those who say stealing and killing are bad and everyone knows that, i think thats not actually true!thats why we have courts and lawyers who defend killers who could have killed because of self defence(even though killing IS bas), or protecting somebody or even because u know that person is bad so you killed him.some of the reasons given by murderers are not acceptable, yet you still have lawyers defending them because they might THINK that what they did was fine or ok...
if we all knew that killing was bad, then we wouldnt have different punishments for each incident, we wouldnt have lawyers defending them and we wouldnt even have a court that accepts their case.

in the case of stealing, poorer people might tell you that because they are poor, they think its ok to take from other richer people. (fe film 3'abi meno feeh: lama by7awel yakne3o yesra2fe mat3am el koshari ) or they might say "i really needed it " or something.

us humans we will always have reasons and excuses for almost everything, so even major offences like killing and stealing might be seen as "good" or "ok" to some people.

i am not saying that these things are acceptable, im just saying that its true that good and bad are entirely subjective concepts, because even the people who commit crimes still have a justification for what they did.

that quote puts things in perspective for me, maybe my perception is always negative and thats why im always upset . but still i would probably disagree; there is good and bad, its just up to us which way we want to look at it . we could be postive or we could be negative (which is my problem) .

actually its true...but still we have to think...if thinking makes a thing seem good then its fine...and when thinking makes things seem bad...tthen its okay to0...guess it would be so boring if we feel good or bad all the time...or we wont feel at all if we dont think...and thatt makes us equal to animals.....
