ya Rana 3laya altalak betalatah from the woman I am not married to till now we are not Arabs< dear the Arabs themselves do not consider us ' Arabs', (so howah Talkeek)...we are simply Egyptians from the (7am's son )who is called Masriam, the same like most the natives of north Africa, that is even proven by recent DNA tests , that we have a very slim relation with the Arabs (through their mother Hager the Egyptian ,,) That is the sound of Science,,,now the Arabs should be proud that they are 1/2 Egyptians, not vise versa

edit Ok: The Egyptians are descended from Ham through the line of Mizraim. Ham had four sons: Cush, Mizraim, Phut, and Canaan , The name "Mizraim" is the original name given for Egypt,,

that represents like 90% of our genes, then we have mixture of Greek , Roman , Arabic, French, English, Turkish blood, the good news that the Arabs did not like to mix with the Egyptians, and neither the Egyptians liked to mix with the rest, mentioned before ,,Now sorry to say that, and I will have a lot of thumb down but that is history and I can not change it, when Mohamed Aly took charge of Egypt , he did not like how the Egyptians looked like, so he (imported ' 'Cherkess 'females from , center Asia , and obliged the rich Eyptians to marry or take them as maidens , to better the genes of the Egyptians (slavery was allowed then) so that would be applied on only the rich Egyptians (of that time)and that is the reason that till now we have an inferiority complex towards whiter Egyptians..hope that solve your questions ( i will not delete that answer , even if I get 1000 down)

Edit: The fact that we speak Arabic does not prove anything ,, we do not have even the same culture like Arabs, to prove my point: Somalians , Mauritanians speak Arabic and they are in the Arab league , do the Arabs consider them Arabs?even the Sudanese were never mentioned like Arabs

As there have been so many different races and ethnic groups including the Arabs who have invaded and/or settled in Egypt though out history that there now are actually very who can claim few pure Arabic descent in comparison the the rest of the population.
It is a figure of around 30% in Upper Egypt and most likely less in Alexandria and Cairo.
The studies to determine if there is actually any families carrying the same genetic fingerprint or D.N.A. as that of different pharaohs from who tissue or hair samples have been taken and tested has shown that,
1. The pharaohs themselves were of different ethnic origins and genetic families.
2. That very few matches have been found and certainly not enough in any single individual or family group from the present era to indicate that the blood of the pharaohs is still alive.
I feel that the Egyptian people of this era are uniquely Egyptian, a people whose origins reflect the diverse and rich tapestry from which Egypt's history has been woven.

#now this does not mean that we are absolutely non-arabs coz there are alot of people in Egypt are arabs or at least have some arab blood in them and the most of the rest are arabs by culture and feelings

we speak arabic.
but we are different from the arabs bec of our special breed which is a mixture of ancient egyptians and turks.
we do not behave like the gulf population which is truly arab.
we carry the features of the pharoahs and the middle easterns , italy, greece, cyprus , etc.
look at the structure of our bodies . it is full and rounded unlike the gulf population that is small and slim .

LOL this is to funny I love it. I have heard some Egyptians say no they are Egyptian not Arab. My husband is Egyptian and he says he is Arab. He can also claim to be African American to lol.

You know sometimes when you look up Egypt you will find it listed as being in the middle east and other times it is listed in Africa.

Where I used to work I was talking to a guy who swore that Egypt was in the Middle East. I am like you can say that but it is in the continent of Africa. He is like no it isn't. Come to find out alot of people don't think Egypt is in Africa. It cracks me up sometimes.

there is mix of Arabs in Egyptians, however not in all. I'd say Egyptian nation is very special about this point that it is not that easy to point to which ethnic group they belong exactly

the day after i heared a similar case in gaza a woman stood between 4 deaths of her family this woman was calling ..

all the countries in this area is a mixture even in gulf,may be that area has also suffered more from forign invasions the same as any other arab country
i would think in palestine as in egypt there are blood of crusaders ,the same as in syria ,lebanon ,iraq,blood of romans in some villasges we have you see the roman nose,more overe you can see the blue eyes...
in gulf states you see the indian blood as iranian ,paki and so on
but i do not recall very much once i heared a lecture ,in this lecture they brought &adeeth it says(meaning)the arab is that who speaks arabic,the language of quran is the likage.
