Yes you are frustrated with the current situation in Egypt, don't you think many people are feeling like you and many people leave but many people stay? Its good to care, many people give up, do drugs and act foolish, so I'm glad your directing these issues on yahoo answers.

All I mean ALL of those that leave Egypt return (go to the expat clubs see who is sitting there!), they sit outside longing for something they don't understand, many people live like crap so they can keep sending money to build things in Egypt, never to return, em i don't think so.

When you live outside for too long you can lose your identity, how long do you think that it is that a person can remain peaceful in himself without an identity. This is why many people that leave visit so often.

When people stay outside it takes about 2 years sometimes not even that and then they start to go through some kind of depression about themselves about what they want either they cope with this depression or they dont but the point is you would never know this because when people come back to Egypt for visits they want to show, that they are doing well, they dont want to show they stayed in the hospital, ive seen 3 Egyptian men go through this in the last two years, one returned to Egypt to live after staying in a mental hospital and leaving his wife, he returned poor and childless because he spent his money trying to block out his sense of being a lost person. The second adaped to the other culture lost his Egyptian side but it will return when something happens he will take a shock like they all do and wake up. The third is still in deep depression and spending alot of time between countries. Do i know anyone that is not like this and not longing for Egypt when they are staying outside, no way! All what happens is when you hear arabic being spoken you get so happy, that person is like ohhh, then when you hear its Egyptian Arabic you like ohhhhhh, then when you find out where the person is from in Egypt you again are so happy.

All people say this that the Egyptians that they mix with when they are outside they would have never have spoken to in Egypt but outside they are just happen that they are Egyptians!

There is no culture like in Egypt, Egypt has always accepted and got used to others that they have blended in and become Egyptian - after hundreds of years do you think that the non white Anglo Saxon protestant is so accepted outside? Its good to be angry do something good with it, because when you go outside you wont always find that things are better, the food is rubbish for one!

Try reading alot and at least wait until you get married before deciding that you want to leave. Do more hobbies because it really sounds like you need to be distracted.

Why dont you start blogging or join an Egyptian blog group. check out misrdigital.com it seems its your thing i.e political science. Also try and visit the expat clubs for someone to talk to that will understand how you feel

This question, Basma, is a tricky one for many people indeed. They mix between Egypt and the government. The bad government made those people hate Egypt while Egypt didn't do any thing bad to them, on the contrary, she gave them many, if not all, of good things they have.

You know what, I once had a conversation with my young sister about this, she asked me this exact question, do u love Egypt? I answered "Of course, I love her from the bottom of my heart" and she asked why do I, and here I didn't find my answer ready indeed. When I thought about this again and again I found that I love the "essence" of Egypt, I can't describe this in words that simple, but what I'm very sure about is that I just love it.

If someone is born Egyptian, this is a fact and it can't be changed. Same like the mother and father you can't change that. It's not wrong that you look for a better life else where, but keep in mind wherever you go and whatever you read an hear about tolerance or acceptance in other countries. At the end of the day you are born Egyptian.

Love Egypt the same way you love parents. May be you can help Egypt to change now or later. May be you'll love another country that can give you what you want {if you'll get it for free} If you didn't help your country to be better, it'll be worse and finally you'll be the one of the worst country which you are part of it.
I hope my answer is not offencive and understandable.
