Look, there is a big difference between constructive criticism at work and character assassination, and what u just said seems to be the later one.

If this is someone's boss, then maybe he has the right to tell him that his rate of development is slower than his other colleagues and then he should help him understand how to improve. But saying yr not talented and not funny and a failure. I mean what the heck!!!!??? who does he think he is to talk like that to anybody??

I think my reaction will be to tell him that he is rude disrespectful and a terrible boss who knows nothing about management in the first place!!!!

@ Jack's wasted life: I am with AA on this one, there was absolutely no need to call a person who seems down at this moment "weird" and there is no good weird, i mean it is obvious that he is feeling bad, so why add to his sadness instead of giving him some support !!

Asfa 7oda that was in your question but it really made me mad.. you asked a question and perhaps your feeling bad so we as your virtual Egypt section family are here to give you all our love, care and goodness.

In short to answer your question, anyone that would say such things, to you or anyone should stay away from these kind of negative people. There are always people that love to put down the confidence of others, maybe they are jealous of something you have for example it could be your kindness, so they say things to make you feel bad to make themselves have power.

You got great answers from the others. All I can say is that you have to have more confidence in yourself. Others will never treat you the way you deserve to be treated if you don't treat yourself the way you deserve to be treated. Have more faith in yourself and it will show in your whole appearance and attitude. It does make a difference on how others perceive you and treat you. Good luck with everything.

Though this question you asked only from Egyptians but I hope you will not mind if I will reply.

Brother this is world and there are a lot of people with different nature and different thinking.

You canâ€™t change those peopleâ€™s nature and thinking but you can change yourself for good better and best.

I have faced the same problem with my previous management 4 years back with same sort of questions and wordings.

But I never give up best way to proof your self is work harder.

If the person who is using all this words is your Boss means some how he/she is not satisfy with your work or with your working style, sit with your self and ask question yourself where you are doing mistake what your are doing wrong? Why you are not able to satisfy your boss?

If possible discuss with your boss ask him why he is feeling that you are a failure or not enough talented may be you will get some points after that conversation or meeting.

And if your colleagues are saying all above you mentioned then just ignore them give them a smile and work more harder and proof that you are not a failure its them who are failure and not talented enough.

Brother donâ€™t take these words seriously other wise you will not be able to concentrate on your job & work.
