Have you ever helped a perfect stranger?

How and why?

I do help strangers and those who are strangers by sharing a portion of my income with them.

The best of mine is donating blood to a perfect stranger and saving his life.

Yes , I helped this little old lady find her way around Sydney in the dark when she was lost ..

You might know her ...she has a distinctive green tinge.

too many times to count.

I once picked up this dude from his hotel and even offered to pick his cousin up for him.
well the cousin lived in the middle of nowhere and the guy expected me to know every single street in Sydney.
You might know him, he keeps snakes in his roof.

Yeah, a lady showed up at my door asking to use my phone. I let her use my phone and ended up giving her a ride to a couple of job interviews. I gave an old lady directions the other day. I'm always helping people figure out how to use those self-checkout machines at Wal-Mart. If someone asks for help or seems to need it I have no problem giving it (within reason). I just draw the line at giving them money.

simply ebone out of the ordinary
yes..even thiugh the stranger was not perfect..no 1 is..lol a little girl in the bathroom could not wash her hands and i picked her up so she could

Yeah I drove a woman home one night that I didn't know coming back from the video store. She had no money for a cab and she just came out and asked me. She could have been a psycho, but for some reason that didn't occur to me at that moment. Weird...

I've never saved someone from a burning building or anything though, that'd be cool.

Yes. I help people every time I see someone in need. Car troubles, food, money, assistance, etc.

I do it because if we don't take of each other, who will?? It is our responsibility.

b.johne k
yes i help all the time why ? ifeel its our duty as human beings to help one-another and if i dont who will ? i cant live my lif as a caring person if i dont care !!! make sense?

Yes I have. I have helped elderly strangers out of the store with their bags because they looked like they had too much to handle. I have given people directions because they were lost.

Melissa T
Yes, many times with directions, assist in searching for a missing child in store and even with money. I believe in helping people in need.

collette d
yes ive done small things for people like helping women to get there prams of the bus and helped someone fix a punter on there bike. It's small things you do that make the world a better place.

deepthinker777
plenty of times...a couple times someone didn't have enough for groceries while in the line in front of me and had to put them back and I bought the groceries and gave them to the person...this is a lot since I'm poor...but I've never gone completely without. I like to think it's because I like to help others.

yes I do all the time.. I help because if I dont my heart hurts. I bring homeless ppl food when I see them on the streets.. If I see old ppl going in the stores I help them walk. I have helped ppl unload things in my neighborhood when I see they are having problems on there own. I have given money to ppl in line at stores when they are short. I help whenever I see someone who needs help because you will never know when you will be in this situation.

a few years ago I was going to work about 25 miles away with my boss and we were driveing on this main road and I noticed up the road there was a bad accident ! we came up to the accident and it was a head on colission and I told my boss to pull over (He did not want to) but I said PULL OVER !! I noticed nobody was stopping to help these poor people ,they were all driveing by and looking! one car had a teenage girl and the other car had 3 little boys and Mother in it! I I smelled gasoline and thought it was going to blow up !I immediately got every one out of the car and took them on the side of the highway! They were ok but in shock,The teen girl was crying she caused the accident! I asked if everyone was ok they said yes so, they thanked me and I left ! as we were going down the road the police and ambulances drove by us

edit: people dont want to get involved these days ! But I will! I hate accidents

yes, lift to somewhere on my way, and other things that are not nice to mention, I will look as if I'm bragging.. but I get no credits for helping people I know and love, do I?

billielips
all of the time.......even if it's holding the door open, helping some one if they dont have just enough money at the register, to giving someone a ride, If it's too cold to stand outside then it's too cold to walk somewhere! In December I was driving to the store and seen someone broke down I turned around let him use my cell, he couldn't get ahold of anyone so I went home got my hubby to help him move the car out of the street
It all comes back around because some little girl walked up to me and gave me a a gift card just out of the blue!
some of my story's! have a good one

Um, no, my mommie told me not to talk to strrangers

Mark S
Sure all the time. Just do not let let that perfect stranger get you in a situation where your not protected.

I give money time and food. Sometimes just talk to people who clearly need someone. But i never forget they are someone I do not know.

boo yaka sha!
only to give directions

just little things like directions or if they drop something i'll pick it up for them. just because i know i would appreciate the kindness and help if i needed it so i try to help others when i'm able.

Evelyn S
I'll bet most of us have at one time or another. How about when you hold a door open for someone? Daughter and I helped an older lady pick up a bunch of change that fell out of her wallet, held out my arm so an elderly woman didn't lose her balance. There are any number of things done that we don't even think about.
By the way, recently a gentleman held a door open for my husband and myself, and when we both said "thank you", he said "boy, you don't hear that anymore!"

Yes, many times in many ways (ie. change a tire, give a ride, give a jump, carry a bag, give some money, give some encouragement, answer a question, etc.) Why, because I was taught to.
